Consultants recommended That Polaris Spend $41 million To Build A New Paint Facility At Their Spirit Lake, Iowa Motorcycle Plant. Companies routinely boast of relentless cost-cutting drives. During the Polaris 2nd quarter results announcement, Scott Wine, chief executive officer of Polaris Industries Inc., spent much of his time explaining what he called an excessive attempt to pinch pennies… Problems at the paint shop during the last 12 months have created a big backlog of Indian & Victory motorcycle orders.
Ormond Beach City leaders To Decide If They Want To Annex Bruce Rossmeyer’s Destination Daytona. Ormond Beach City Commissioner Troy Kent said annexing Destination Daytona would increase tax revenues for the city by as much as $130,000 a year. By annexing Destination Daytona, Ormond Beach broadens its tax base, and according to Kent, homeowners stand to benefit from that annexation. The move to becoming part of Ormond Beach would provide Destination Daytona with city services, like law enforcement. “We are actually also going to create an additional police zone,” said Kent. “So, we’re going to hire five new officers to take care of that area.” Pepe said Ormond Beach police started providing patrols during this year’s Bike Week, in March, as a test run. The proposed annexation of Destination Daytona by Ormond Beach had its first reading Wednesday night. If approved, the annexation could go through at second reading later in August.

The Sturgis stats are likely the result of many more people being there for the 75th. They support my decision to not attend this year. CHAOS !
That’s why they moved out of Daytona!
I elected not to contribute to the economy of South Dakota especially Sturgis this year.
I would have loved to have gone but for the cage that decided my left leg was too tempting a target. Is it me or does there seem to be a resurgence of quality shows? The series at the park in Sturgis along with the Perewitz paint show all look like they drew strong competition and I know Daytona this spring had its own edition of paint and a really nice retro show at destination and Willies as always. Have AIM’s shindig coming this fall to Orlando too. Nice to see some really nice work of all sorts on display
@ Rodent…who cares!
