Do you need a license to ride one of those things?
Yeah, just what I’ve always wanted – to have the idyllic scenery and beauty enhanced by this dude riding by. I didn’t make past about a minute into the video. Not everything related to bikes is necessarily a good thing.
Gotta give the guy some credit though for just doing it…
Love it, such an amazing feat!

Concerned about the idyllic scenery? Really not much different than a wave runner on that account. Not going to see many with the necessary skills to control a bike like that so I don’t think the waves are at risk of being overrun. Cool factor is pretty high to ride into that surf with that center of gravity though, and got to give credit to the videographer too!

Actually, “…not everything [related to anything] is necessarily a good thing…”
That is, until your the last living person on earth…..
Don’t worry, you’ll get over it.

Way cool skills. Probably freaked the hell outta the surfers and the guys in the war canoe to see a dirt bike come screaming by.
Even though he sort of popped out of the last big wave, it didn’t look like he out ran it.
Great skills none-the-less.
We had the shop asphalt seal coated Friday and the foreman said, “Didn’t you know that DC (skate) Shoes in Carlsbad was behind the Pipe Dream film?
No, but now that you mention “local innovation” – 33-yrs. ago two guys pulled jet propelled water ski’s from their van and drug them across the beach at vacant-stretch of sand Ponto, because they surprised everyone with their move, no law against it, so they ran the empty waves back and forth for 5 miles all winter. Those were the jet-ski prototype in1982.
Probably not a problem with the paddle-wheel, if they stay away from surf-packs, though I can fathom water-proof, open carry weapons on the horizon, since most people want to get away from stink-pots on the water. The rider is in front of the white water, and we can’t tell how far from the flat camera angle.
Where is the full length “edge” on this vehicle that a craft needs to “hang” (claw) into the face of the wave for stability? Where is it’s skeg (single, rear, bottom fin) for direction in this horizontal tornado?
Do they make a kit for my Bagger?
Don’t dump it!
Interesting how some respond to Robbi Maddisons skill level on a motorcycle. Maybe if he were to crash as many times as the Evil the wow factor would be word of many.
It’d be more interested watching his “swimming skill level” with all that dirt-bike apparel on.
The “skill” level is probably more in making smooth turns and managing the throttle (keeping the wheel just below cavitation level) than in riding over the water.
What is amazing is the willingness to risk a perfectly good scooter from saltwater damage. Not to mention a serious dunking.

I’m just happy no people in the water were run over. Some shots looked as bright as racing down the beach or through a public park with a dirt bike.
This is the coolest thing I have seen for a long time.
This guy has done some amazing things on a motorcycle,
Tahiti is known for some of the fiercest waves out there. Going down would be horrifying.
Definitely cool! When’s the production model coming out?
As an old curmudgeon I will sit back in my rocker and watch in amazement. No guts , no glory.
Hola! I’ve been following your web site for a while now and finally got the bravery to go ahead and give you a shout out from Huffman Tx!
Just wanted to tell you keep up the good work!
