Harley-Davidson calls the V-Rod model the most radical edge of its line-up. Hang Halters Inc (HHI) bets that some owners of the brawny bruiser with off-the-line power will want to follow the trend of the big front wheel and offers for this purpose beefy 55 mm raked triple trees for a 23 inch wheel (6-degree rake tree), or 26 inch wheel “upgrade” (8-degree rake tree). A 3rd model triple tree with a rake of 4 degrees is also available to those wanting to do a V-Rod Trike conversion. These trees work with all V-Rods equipped with a 43 mm inverted front end. HHI states that their Billet Raked Triple Trees are 40% stronger than a stock Harley cast triple tree. Available machine finish, black or chrome. Hawg Halters.

How many V-Rods are sold by Harley? Don’t see many.
26″ front wheel?!?!?!
V-Rod to V-Plod…
Im pretty sure owners will want a shorter rake for better handling and standard mid controls. No one wants a v-rod that just goes straight and not able to handle twistys
MKV I wouldn’t be so sure about that, after all there are tons of people taking touring bikes that handle pretty well for what they are and turning them into unridable bar hoppers with 30″ wheels…
They made a V Rod with a reasonable rake and mid controls, called it the street rod. It was discontinued I suppose because of poor sales. It was the only V Rod I would have considered. go figure????
HHI make well manufactured, well engineered products. I don’t think they would have brought this to market unless they felt there would be enough demand. BTW, V-Rods are the model of choice in Australia with many of the 1% clubs.
