Although they may be selling ethanol free fuel they don’t state wether they are blender pumps or not. I know for a fact that a few listed in my area have blender pumps so whatever’s in the hose may have some ethanol from the previous customer.

When in doubt and your on the road, look for Kwik Trip Stations. They have individual pumps listed as “recreational premium gas”,……no ethanol!!! They aren’t everywhere but here in the Midwest they are everywhere.

Thanks for this. Great to see Canada listed as well. FYI all Shell stations in Canada sell ethanol free 91 octane Hi-test

My business’s and home are located on a remote (we have no bridges) island in the Pac. N.W. and even here in our little slice of paradise we have one pump that’s ethanol free mid-grade gas (89 octane). It’s sold at our local Shell station but the ethanol free fuel is provided by Texaco. Because of this the ethanol free pump is a separate stand alone pump without any branding on it. I’m so glad to have it since one of my bike shops deals with classic and antique machines that have rubber parts and fuel lines that just won’t stand up to ethanol. Sure appreciate the link to that site. Attaboy Cyril!!

@ Bilbo, in areas where it’s not legal (per EPA Zone) to sell non-ethanol gas, it won’t matter what brand you look for. Kwik Trip stations by me between Milwaukee & Chicago can’t sell it, by my shop further north of Milwaukee they can. In one city I go to for non-ethanol gas for my small engine equipment, the Kwik Trip station only offers it in Premium but the Fleet Farm station ¼ mile away offers no ethanol in Mid AND Premium grade, so you really have to look at the individual stations in each area. Maybe some day we can just go back to the best gas for our machines, the best mix for some other political reason.

In and around Atlanta, it can’t be had closer in to the city. Getting a bit further out, I see the Racetrack stations with a dedicated hose just for ethanol free. I keep a few cans full in the house for lawn equipment and the bikes.

Before they did this, I noted that ethanol free was typically available at or near any station near a lake or marina. One old convenience store near Lake Lanier had it and it looked like a combo bike/boat rally there every weekend. I also hear that there can be some ethanol free pumps near your local airstrip, but have never tested the theory.

It is true – in and around the major cities, it is banned.

Finally watch out for that E15. It looks like it is either here or on the way.

Woody, which city do you get your non-ethanol gas in? I get mine at the K-Stop just west of Allenton, WI. It’s a 15 mile drive for me. Good to have other options.

This problem would go away if we could get the hands of the bureaucrats and special interests off corn subsidy money.

@ Tundra, Probably too far, but the Fleet Farm in Fondy has Mid & Premium no alcohol, most of the other stations only seem to offer it in Premium. We can thank “Chiwaukee” for that, as well as mindless politicians 😉

Just wondering, when was the last time the so called industry insiders did anything for the riders rather than do stuff to line their pockets?

I am all in favor of using ethanol-free gas as much as possible but I have learned that a lot of this gas being sold also has lead in it so you can’t use it in vehicles that have a catalytic converter. Be careful when buying/using it. Most fuel companies have excellent information about their blends on their websites. Takes some digging but the info is there.
