Can’t quite tell how it’s designed, but if the rocker boxes, heads, cylinders, and pistons could all be removed as individual pieces, this would be a really cool.

Yes, very nice indeed, for the budding motor head

Here is a much better idea. Get your son a small professional quality tool box. An adjustable wrench. Pliers. A basic socket set. Small tools that fit his hands but good quality. (Save the hammer for later.) That’s what my dad did for me. I gave it to my son and his son has it now. For next Xmas give him a quality set of wood working tools. My son now has my grandfathers workbench and vice.

There are some adults that would use this as well. I might get it for my wife. She is really starting to love bikes.

Bleeding Ears, that is a great idea. My parents did this with me and my four brothers. Get a tool box one year, then some combo wrenches, then screwdrivers, etc.
When the kid is older, he’ll have a good set of tools.
Of course, do kids know what tools are these days? Seems like electronics and cel phones are all they’re into now.
We seem to live in the Harbor Freight era where you buy a cheap Chinese tool for one use and have a lot of cheap crap at the end of the day. My folks bought us Craftsman back in the 70s.

Find your kid an old Erector Set from the 60’s and if that doesn’t do it, try a sewing machine next.

Not to get too picky, but are those the pistons coming out of the rocker box?
That doesn’t teach kids the correct workings of an engine.
Shame it could have been correct and still cool and educational for kids. Maybe a window into the cylinder to see the piston?

SYF, could be authentic, I had a Ford 289 where a rod came out the oil pan 🙂

I know several adults that should get this!
