I am not sure there is any manufacturer left not proposing a set of custom exhaust for the very successful Indian Scout. Samson’s all new Staggered Longtail slip-on mufflers are ready to rumble your Scout.
Of course, the company states a significant gain in horsepower and torque, but no chart being provided to me, I will not announce a number.
The top muffler has an 1 7/8 inch inlet with 2 1/4 inch O.D. muffler body 20 1/2 inches long. The bottom muffler has the same O.D. and inlet with a 27 inch muffler body.
Both mufflers come equipped with a removable Samson universal Longtail tip, and Samson’s A-118 high performance baffles (1 3/4 inch baffle for 2 1/4 pipe). Any 10″ long Samson baffle designed & manufactured for use in 2 1/4 inch pipe can be used for custom sound tuning. Samson USA.
That’s an awfully large header diameter for such a small engine.
Samson needs to invent a new design for the Scout. This design is 60 years old.
Yep. but the design still works on the new Scout.
Prefers the Crusher set as in the banner on the right.
Looking good. Works well with the Scout. But what about a detail on the tips to make them more “Scout” and not Harley fishtails.
imo the fishtails only work as duals on a retro touring bike.
Old timey pipes on a modern design bike is odd.
Mr Price comes back & Samson is right back in the game !!!
Yeah, they are kind of old school
But a lot of people like that sort of thing
Again, the market will decide if this is a successful product or not
(My guess is that it will !!!)
A nice classic tough……

“Custom sound tuning” I like that but how loud are they!!!? You know I like them really, really LOUD!!!
I like them. Samson does have a good sound.
Never understood the fishtail thing. Ugly in the 60’s and 70’s, and still ugly now.
is there anywhere to see a picture of the new Scout with that front fender reversed?
I do not like the look of this motorcycle . both fenders are butt ugly . sorry ………………………..
