That’s the individuality unique to each, which differentiates us all, one from another.
And yet we’re continually told that we’re all “equal.” What’s up with that…???
In contemporary America, from the beginning of our life you’ve become the focus of social engineering who’s sole intent is to strip you of our innate uniqueness and convince you that we’re “all in it together”…… “we’re all the same”….”We’re all equal”….
Customization of anything has always been the creative outlet that allows one to express that individuality.
More than other fields of endeavor the legacy of American custom motorcycling has been an “exclusive” experience. An activity that by its very nature and degree of the difficulty required to achieve even a modicum of success identifies the “participant/artist” as an individual.
Perhaps the contemporary field of customized motorcycling has been so manipulated by the “anti-individualist group think” of today that its become irrelevant to many of us who still value individuality in effort and thought over equality.
Perhaps what some see as “Haters” are simply those who reject the yammering of the “me-too” uninitiated who clamber for inclusion, not understanding that to the legacy of this endeavor is about an individuals journey. A journey of attaining some level of accomplishment beyond the “procurement of stuff.”
IMHO anyway.

The Politically Correct fantasy of “togetherness and equality” is an irresponsible distortion that promotes mediocrity as a fraudulent state of grace…. intended to dominate and control individual achievement……
And just so the priests antiquity pretended to control the harvest through their self proclaimed divine power.
