500.00 for something that does nothing

There will be mixed opinions on these but they are pretty cool in my book. Although it’s not the first time this was done with shovel style rocker covers.

These YELL wanna be. If you want a Shovel, build a Shovel.

Mal Ross. All look changes are worth something to the owner. Pretty cool part for those on an old school trip.

These should be called Caitlynn Jenners. Trying to be something it is not. Man/Woman-Evo/Shovel. Where does the madness end? Seriously though, if you want a shovel, buy a shovel. Don’t dress up your sportster motor to be something it is not.
I preferred EMD’s original design rocker boxes over these any day.

Evo was the best engine the MoCo ever made, IMHO and the Shovel the best looking. Not for everyone but I can completely see wanting the old school look for some builds, but with a little more power and reliability.

I like them. So there! 🙂

From the same company that brought you the electric kick starter (the kicker engages a micro switch to the electric start!!). What a combo!! Would we know the difference??

Hey EMD … if you are making $$$ then more power to you …

They will sell more than a few sets. EMD gives many Sporty guys what they want. Amen.

So if a guy with a shovelhead puts the engine in a ridged frame, he’s a poser trying to be a knuckle or panhead guy? These comments are pretty funny. Change your bike in any way ad you’re a poser. I guess I’ll keep posing then…..

Is not riding and customizing about freedom? Do what you want to your bike. It’s yours. I understand very well why a modern Harley owner choose today’s reliability but prefers a retro look. Parts like those of EMD are perfect for this purpose.

Very nice. I like to see custom Sportsters and the younger crowd that is embracing them.

Same old geezer naysayers. Probably don’t mind fake tits though…

+1 18Bravo. Just like the covers. . . all form and no function!

These are ridiculous ad so is that fake generator cover. Be proud of your Sporty for what it is. Which is a damn fine motorcycle in it’s own right.

Lyle Landstrom – I’d equate this more to a white guy in black face. It’s about pretending to be something you’re not. Hardtail frames have practical uses and benefits over swingarm frames. These covers are purely aesthetic and serve no function. By the way. I’m not old. I’m a so-called millennial.

Ordered this kit for Harley Sportster.

I’m guessing folks who fork out good money on items like these ARE proud of their rides, or they wouldn’t bother giving them any attention beyond oil & gas.
