My wife doesn’t skid her Sporty. Fortunately she rolls it.

I would like a plate looking less high tech.

    Really…???
So a skid plat today is in some way associated with “skidding”….???

Another case of “lost legacy”…. πŸ™

Why is it that as we get older and bigger our MotorCycles do to.

Remember when you could ride on a gravel road with a road bike with out fear of it crushing you if you get it wrong. We needed skid plates then not now…lol

At that price for a hunk of metal, its cheaper to just replace whatever part it is designed to protect.

Please, lets get a grip shall we. Even a casual glance at a skid plate (even a OEM version) should tell ya all it is designed to protect is the bottom of the crankcase. A very good idea …..

    Here’s a hint.
No one ever damaged the bottom of a crankcase by sliding any thing….

reminds me of the new 4 dr Jeeps running around town , lift kit , 6ft jack mounted on the bumper , snorkel kit and so on . Not a scratch on um from “offroadin” . It’s all about the look boys and girls .

I do not understand on what these prices or based on, but it is nothing short of scandalous. For 30 euros I can buy a metal plate +/-2 mm 5000x1000mm (all sorts). You can fabricate it yourself better than to give your money unnecessarily to such expensive custom items (jus’t can’t get it why people give such money for some simpel thing like this. Make it yourself or with a friend.. isn’t hard and you feel proud fot the money saved πŸ˜‰
