Last weekend January 22-24, in Verona, the city where William Shakespeare located the tragedy of his Romeo and Juliet’s play, organizers Francesco Agnoletto and Paola Somma received a large part of the worldwide custom motorcycle industry on 7 halls for the 2016 edition of the Motor Bike Expo. One of the many highlights of this extremely popular event in the Custom Chrome Europe/Italian Championship Of Custom Building. A bike show competition where most competitors premiere their new creations. Below are the top winners. (photos@ H. Roesler for C. Huze)

Wow, wow. Great bikes!
Like what the europeans are building. Different.
Really liked the full-faired HD drag bike with Hoosier tires!!
So many awesome bikes, I can’t choose one.
Badass bikes.
Like very much the Knuckle and the WL
For me, in 2 very different styles, it’s the Yellow Ducky & the Scout
A lot of great ideas to be inspired by. Pick your style.
I can only guess the number of labor hours involved in building these awesome machines. Congrats to all.
All great builds. I’m seeing two distinct styles in this group. The minimalist bobber with low handlebars but with some hybrid fat back tire variations and the cafe racer style; also with some variations.
Hope some come to Daytona in March. Would like to check them out from close.
Some fantastic creations. Thanks Cyril.
US custom builders, where have you been?
“Mine” are the Knuckle & the WLJ. Would look good side by side in my garage
The green chopper is so 2000. All the others are interesting.
Would Love to take the first two bikes for a spin.
Creative & interesting stuff.
Thanks for sharing….

The Plan B’s dustbin faired [ Buell ] custom was created especially for the 1/8 [ curves , bumps and all ] Glemseck 101 which though a contest of speed is anything but a ‘ drag race ‘ . Also the bike is called ” Cherry Salt ” as future plans may include a trip to Bonneville [ with a few modifications ] assuming Bonneville continues to exist . FYI ” Cherry Salt ” has been winning numerous awards even before it was completed . Check out Plan B’s website for more photos as well as BikeExif’s for some of the details . Suffice it to say : ” Cherry Salt ” is a real beast of a bike .
Imagination and craftsmanship rule in the European bike building industry, time for North American builders to through away the mail order catalogs and get back to innovation.
EU bike builders are awesome. The Hammer 8-Ball deserves to reign this competition. I can’t wait for a ride this summer in Fl. Honestly, all these bikes are great, inspired, and totally different than what we used to see here.
amazing bikes at the show, great compliments to all builders!!!!
