Last year, the 1st edition of True Grit was a highlight of Daytona Bike Week with more than 100 vintage motorcycles gathering at what is now known as Jester Live (former Coca Pavilion) at Bruce Rossmeyer’s Destination Daytona in Ormond Beach. Under the initiative of Warren Lane, along with his fellow custom builders Bill Dodge, Billy Lane and Dan Carr, all owners of vintage motorcycles (this year it means pre-77 models, all makes and models) are invited to gather at Jester Live at Rossmeyer’s for a day of camaraderie between owners, builders, restorers, etc. I promise a great time to all the fans of old iron. The True Grit event is free for vintage bike owners and the public. It is recommended that bikes are setup at 10 am when exhibition doors open to the public. More info at Carrie Repp. Jester Live at Rossmeyer’s Destination Daytona 1635 North US Highway 1, Ormond Beach, Florida.

Last year, stumbled on this meeting while visiting Rossmeyer’s. It was great. Some very interesting machines.
Will stop by to see these bikes and meet with the builders.
Be some genuine history there…
Last year, had a chance to talk to Dodge & Lane. Interesting stories about their bikes. Will try to not forget the date.
Sounds like a good time. Pre-77 covers an awful lot of ground and should be eye-candy overload.lol
Should arrive in Daytona Sunday afternoon. May be my first pit stop.
Great bikes surrounded by good people.
Shit. I arrive on Monday.
It`s like going to church 🙂
Nice !!!
Wish I could be there !!!
I didn’t miss it last year and I’m not going to miss it this year either. I think it is the best show that Daytona has!
My opinion. This gathering has replaced willies as the best event in Daytona. Cyril must know, reason why he promotes it so much.
Your chance to get your picture with these guys and Cyril. I did last year.
The show should be later during the week. Tuesday?
Great show an is close to Willies
Great show is that close to Willies Chopper show
RE:
“…Vintage Pre 77…”
Thanks for making some of us feel really old…. 🙁
-nicker-
stop by Willies tropical Thursday, March 10th
GOOD SHOW ALONG WITH DAVE PEREWITZ SHOW AND WILIES CHOPPER TIME ALL THREE SHOWS HAVE SOMETHING DIFFERENT TO OFFER .But by far Chopper time is the biggest happening and has been the longest running show in the area other then the rats hole show.
Willie. Well. it’s not true. In addition to the Rat’s Hole, the Boardwalk Show is another show running longer than yours in Daytona. I was at True Grit last year. What I liked is the location, lots of space around, possibility to shoot pictures of the bikes. Cyril’s photographer even set a booth. I like your show, but I liked more True Grit last year. Now, we don’t know how True Grit will be this year, but I bet much bigger. As a matter of fact, the 2 shows can co-exist and are not the same days…
I said ALL THREE ARE GOOD SHOWS ALL THREE HAVE SOME THING DIFFERENT TO OFFER and as i said before CHOPPER TIME IS AND HAS BEEN THE BIGGEST HAPPENING AROUND FOR SOME TIME ,BUT THE SHOWS I AM TALKING ABOUT ARE TRUE GRIT ,DAVE PEREWITZ SHOW AND CHOPPER TIME.WE ALL TRY TO MAKE ALL THREE . AND
the first thing I said was good show, by the way this is not a republican debate lol .But sure do miss RODENT RIP CARL..SO IF YOU CAN MAKE ALL THREE .
Choppertime is and always will be the original I drive 16 hours one way to be there two times a year not putting down any others but by far the Choppertime is the SUPERBOWL of chopper shows gonna Ms Carl this year
The only reason I go to Daytona is to go to Willies chopper show. All those other shows are full of motorcycles that people had built spending. $ 40.000 and up. That most bikers can afford. Will he show is real bikers building their own bikes more entertaining. Always fun time and something different to look at
I think I had the only Jap bike there with an old Kawasaki H2 750 2 stroke…but was glad to see it was accepted with open arms…thanks Warren for a great show and even better conversations.
I saw a cool hardtail triple sitting right next to that H2, I think that might count as Japanese… at least the Suzuki motor was
