This primary cover looks like an open belt system but is not! It just bolt-on on all ’07-Up Harley-Davidson Twin-Cam touring models. And I must admit, it radically changes the left side of a bagger. Safety of an enclosed primary system included.
Dimensions and tolerances are identical to the OEM parts. Manufactured in die cast aluminum with CNC milled gasket surface. Factory mounting hardware is reusable (new gasket not included) Available only in black Contrast. MSRP $702.00. At EMD USA or call Ben at 818-268-3789
It should spin around and make whistling noise
but why?
EMD may have taken the “Looks like” theme a bit too far with this one…
I have some of their parts and they are excellent.
I guess I’m missing something. If this is where the chain should be; where is the chain? Is it recessed further back behind the cover? If so then does this cover stick out much further than the stock one?
More ridiculous stuff from EMD. If you want an open belt primary, just get an open belt primary. EMD parts are like the fake tattoo sleeves of the custom motorcycle world.
Goes great with a fake Kickstarter
Why not. Like the idea for those who want to play it safe.
Cyril knows how to make us talk…
Looks like a dirt collector. EMD does make some nice parts but to me this isn’t one of them.
Well, I kinda want to like it… definitely would make folks scratch their heads. 🙂
……. Don’t get your pant leg caught in it…….
………………. Domino Dave ……………….
Adhesive back chrome multiplied, but great for that douchebag persona.
This is what all the COOL kids will have!
Wow..thats terrible…looks like plastic harley toy for kids from 3-6…i like EMD…some of their parts are cool looking…but this is bad joke…
Can’t fault the product, it i what it is.
But, RE:
“…the idea for those who want to play it safe…”
Exactly whats went wrong with “motorcycling”……
Too many want in on the action, but want it “safe.”
Earth to posers…. Take up Golf… OVER.

Clown wagon part.
thats awesome
I think it’s a superb piece, much better than the classic enclosed primary. Bet it will sell well with new Twin Cam owners
Since when do you need to show that you are ready to lose your left foot to demonstrate that you are a true biker?
Great design. Not for all but for many.
Hmmmmm…50- 50 on this one ..and I do appreciate many of the EMD products….for a few bucks more I think I would prefer to have a real enclosed belt drive unit inside vs the cosmetic look..Great craftmanship though !
Man, I wish there was a “Like” button on this blog. Some of these comments made me laugh pretty good. 🙂
Wow now that’s innovative thinking. Congratulations. Interesting to see what else you come up with. Pave your own road mates.
You’re kidding ,right?
It’s understandably something for most of us to make fun of – something that gives a certain look with out actually doing what the real thing does. Of course, that’s always been the reason I don’t care for a Softail. The look without the real experience. All Softail owners may now continue to ridicule this piece…
Thought it was April 1.
This will go great with my fake suicide shifter set up !
C. Zimba, since when did you have to be unprepared to lose your left foot, BUT have to pretend to appear to be prepared to lose your left foot to be a true biker?
GEEZUZ… Will it ever stop…???
Only Break-in-bikers yammer about “Suicide Shifts”
No such thing, fake or otherwise….
Seriously. no one ever committed suicide by shifting.

-FYI-
But using a “Sport Clutch”… Now hat’s a different story.

What a joke.
I’m waiting for the horn cover that looks like a horn.
Russell Mitchell,
Spot on Dude….!!!!
Let me paraphrase your thought:
“…since when could one expect to get away with actually being unprepared as a motorcyclist , while at the same time pretending to be capable of being a motorcyclist…”
