Those who have attended the 75th Sturgis rally and who visited the Michael Lichter’s “Naked Truth” exhibition got a chance to see up close this chopper beauty stripped down to its mechanical essence. Modeled after the 70’s choppers, it features some new “classic” modern parts that builder Ken Nagai is currently introducing as part of his new 2016 online parts catalog. Among them, the Gang Star wheels, the Shovelhead Vintech Rocker Covers, the Vintech Air Cleaner.
Naked, unencumbered by unnecessary accessories, paint and graphics, offering an open view from every angle, Gang Star is the type of custom bike for which I don’t feel the necessity to write 800 words to describe it to you. I will just mention a flawless steel body work, a very cool looking inboard dual function calipers setup, an Al Strong kicker arm and a gorgeous seat by Ace at Back Drop. For the rest, admire the details and the craftsmanship required to create them. Ken’s Factory. (photos courtesy K. Nagai)
Very, very nice.
Chopper art at its best.
Wow, just right.
SU-PERB
Difficult to beat this one. A great chopper without a stupid jet ski candy paint job.
I appreciate the fact that Nagai didn’t try to reproduce a 70’s chopper, but instead created a modern interpretation without betraying the past. The difference between an amateur and a pro is the ability to create and innovate. Details are great.
Love 99% of it.
Best Chop I have seen in a long time. Amazing work.
A naked bike shows how good you are at building a bike. Quality of craftsmanship is everywhere on this chop.
Could not find something wrong or that I didn’t like. Great job Nagai.
Love these Star wheels.
How much for a beautiful piece like that Sir Nagai. 50K? 60K? More?
Great bike name, great bike, great builder.
My back can’t handle hardtails any longer, but I wouldn’t mind taking that bike for a spin. Well done!
Badass chopper
Phenomenal bike, absolutely amazing!
What an awesome custom. Class.
If it’s in Daytona in the bike shows that Cyril listed yesterday, Nagai is going to get all the gold. Easy.
All details are very nice. Love the seat, simple and different.
Interesting oil-bag….

Ken never misses his mark.
Damn nice bike! Reminds me of the super clean Lil John Buttera bikes in the 90’s.
GREAT BLEND OF BEAUTIFUL PARTS AND CRAFTSMANSHIP ……….
Not too impressed with the exhaust outlet placement. Your jeans are going to smell a little gassy. May even warm your left thigh a bit.
Otherwise, wow, what amazing work. It sure is a beauty.
Like it ……………………………………………………
now that’s nice, no complaints here
A little old for the chopper wars
But like Mdsphoto, I like it !!!!
Well executed & not quite a copy
Damn fine job !!!
Wow, that Air Cleaner is Frick’en gorgeous. It looks like a Peice of Trim or a Grill on a Radio or TV from the Art Deco era, maybe a Philco or a Admiral. The entire Bike is a piece of Art, every component. Ca you imagine just Owning that Bike it would be in my room next to my Bed on the right side. My Wife is on the left side and I am right in the middle of two pieces of Steel.
