Indian Motorcycle’s Custom Scout Dealer Contest. And The Winners Are…

00Daytona75DIS2projectscout3projectscoutDuring the Project Scout Contest, Indian Motorcycle dealers around the world were competing to show their talent by customizing a Scout model with no rules or restrictions on bike theme, cost or build style. Then, from January 18th to February 19th, fans voted for their favorite creations. The top 3 finalists (in any order) were “THE REBEL” by Indian Motorcycle Headingley, Manitoba, Canada. “FUSION” by Indian Motorcycle Charlotte in Lowell, NC. “BOARDTRACKER” by Motos Illimitees Indian dealer Terrebonne, Quebec, Canada.

7projectscout8projectscout5projectscout10projectscout9projectscoutThe ultimate winner was decided Tuesday March 8th during a Scout night party at the famous Boot Hill Saloon on Daytona Main Street. A panel of judges including Roland Sands and myself had to decide the winners of several awards on several criteria like originality and quality of details. And the results are. (All photography @ Horst Roesler, Manfred Graf, Regina Springer for Cyril Huze)

Red & white one looks nice, very good use of color to change lines, hide the radiator, etc. White tires augment it very well.

Fusion arguably has better proportions and stance than the current Indian Chief.

    #71 is cool.

never thought a brand would be a marquee on top of the Boothill. Then again, havent been to Daytona since 2000.
