Bobber Factory Racer Inspired Gas Tank For Custom Harley Motorcycles

tank1Inspired by factory race bikes of the 1940’s, this cut-down, classic style gas tank will particularly look cool on Knucklehead, Panhead and Shovelhead custom motorcycles.

The WX Gas Tank are directly influenced by the Harley-Davidson WR, but with an innovative design that allows these new gas tanks to fit almost half-century’s worth of motorcycle frames.

tank2 tank3In 1946 Harley-Davidson introduced the WR factory racer, a 45 cubic-inch flathead designed to dominate the flat tracks and road courses in America. The narrowed tanks were part of the slim profile of these machines. The WX Gas tank feature an innovative rear mount to bolt right up to your stock Harley-Davidson Big Twin frame from 1936 to 1984.

WX Gas Tanks have a capacity of 2.25 gallons and feature both a vent and fuel crossover and accept a 22mm fuel petcock, and accept standard cam-style Harley-Davidson motorcycle gas caps. For details call toll-free 1-855-456-9276 or visit Lowbro Customs Gas Tanks.

Like the small gap between the 2 halves. Very retro.

These tanks are awesome. I just wish they made a set for Evos!

I’d take a set of six-gallons tanks for an Evo.

Nitpicking, the two halves at the front aren’t concentric and the narrow gap really accentuates the discrepancy. Other than that, a nice clean alternative.

Nice piece, but I bet their are more TC’s than 36-84’s…have bought from Lowbrow many times (and more parts to go) and they are a top notch outfit

There are 3 guys on the Jockey Journal that have been building these out of HD fatbobs for years but I am glad to see they are available. Now I will have to find another use for those stock 73 tanks on the shelf.
