You could expect it from S&S Cycle, the company with proven performance products. They just released their high performance Stealth Two Air Filter for the 2015-2016 Scout, 2016 Scout Sixty and 2017 Victory Octane models. The S&S Stealth Two air cleaner features increased filter area, a radiused inlet. and a 4 ply washable element. Together, they provide a smooth path for air to flow into the throttle body. Reducing turbulence and increasing flow equals providing more power!
It’s a bolt-on one-piece assembly increasing air flow by 127% (Dyno proven) and pairing nicely with most aftermarket exhaust systems. .Made in the USA and available through your local S&S Dealer. MSRP $149.95. For more information, visit S&S Cycle Stealth Two
Impressive boost.
To turn a Scout into an Octane and an Octane into a super Octane.
Does this require a “tuning” change? How about HP?
richards, you never get the whole story from S&S. ..Z
I’ve seen a couple dyno charts already on Octane’s with this type of intake, after market exhaust, fuel controller and dyno tune. Picked up 10-15 hp and tq.
Picked up 10-15 hp and tq. …. if you can get these numbers for less than $$1000 , this should be a no brainer for shops and owners of these bikes 🙂
That explains the 3.3 gal capacity of the gas tank.
I have said this before and will say it again.
All engines are released to the market with emission restrictions and other restrictions anywhere from 10-15% of the engines actual HP/TQ rating.
ANY aftermarket air cleaner/exhaust/tune install is going to bring the engine back 10-15% to where the engine is supposed to be anyway.
NO product …..NOTHING…..(other than a turbo, nitrous, or supercharger) can bolt on Horsepower!
Without going inside the engine and making changes there, any production engine will only produce what it is designed to produce.
Stop the Madness……..
With that said…..I use S&S products everyday, and would not think of using any other, simply the best.
Steve Caee
Yep … What Steve said …
……………D.D……………..
I’m not as familiar with Harley, maybe that is what you’re talking about Steve Carr? I can verify from personal experience with Victorys that every aftermarket intake does not, does NOT equate to 10-15% power improvement. I tend to agree that EPA regs mean most stock set ups are choked. Less air means less fuel, less fuel means fewer emissions. But with bikes I do have familiarity with, the worst performing and the best performing aftermarket intakes have a big difference between them with the worst one no where near a 10% improvement.
Hey Bob, Steve said “air cleaner/exhaust/tune” …. You gotta let it breathe
OEM filters are more than capable of flowing more air than the engine can use.
“That explains the 3.3 gal capacity of the gas tank.”
Sure does. I’m actually amazed they can hold that much after seeing this cut out.
Just like the rest of the Victory’s
I absolutely HATE where they’ve put the air cleaner
3.3 gal is enough to go around the block a few times.
Hope somebody invents a relocator kit for it
Lloyd’s ? Anybody ???
Blackmax, that is the best place for it, where it can suck up lots of nice cool air.
