Looks like a good system but at $380 I think I’ll just keep using straps. For someone who trailers their bike a lot; this would be worth getting the system and bolting it to the trailer floor.
I also wonder about non stock height bikes and how well these work for them.
Damn cool idea. One of those “why didn’t I think of that” moments.
All bikes aren’t the same height so one Biker Bar set up for one bike is probably not very versatile. Also you need to be lined up just right to ride into the locking mechanism. If you’re not you have to back up, line up again and then try to lock it in again. My ride in bike chocks are just fine. Takes any motorcycle. Just ride into it and the wheel locks in and get off. Think I’ll stick with what I have.
Bad idea. First, their ads say that ‘with this, the shocks on the trailer take the bumps, not the shocks on the bike.’ Well, first of all, trailers don’t have shocks. Second, you’re better off tying your bike down in such a way that the suspension is allowed to work a little. This system transfers every bump straight to the frame – any bump that isn’t absorbed by the springs on the trailer (which is a lot) goes right to the bike’s frame, in a bad spot.
The ideal system for trailering a bike is to have a wheel chock in front that holds it upright, then four straps that compress the suspension enough to hold it through bumps but allow the suspension to work in the big bumps.
Is there something like this but permanently affixes your bike to the trailer
Works with all H-D models? I guess I don’t need one then…
Like Boomer said if you trailer your bike a lot
For whatever reason (see previous article)
Guess it is worth the price & the hassle to install it
Looks like smooth sailing after that’s done ….
RE:
“… secure your bike in your trailer …”
By grabbing the side of the lower frame rails…???
“Secure”….Seriously…???
RE:
“… but permanently affixes your bike to the trailer…”
You want to ” permanently affixes your bike to the trailer” ???
Well, OK then weld it to the trailer….

This product has been on the market for years now.
The promo makes it look a little too easy. To the above comments how many load in the bed of a pickup? A work van? How many haul customs that are different heights in lower frame rails? What if I have multiple bikes that need to be loaded and don’t use a trailer? Touring bikes in a trailer? Huh? It’s innovative however from what was demonstrated looks limiting. Also why would someone drill holes in thier nice truck or stumble over the mechanism in a work van? The company might take all these recommendations and do a better job on the real value proposition for people who haul all kinds of bikes beyond closed trailers and don’t want to modify a pickup or van.
Just glad I don’t trailer.
B&W makes great products. I can see where this would be perfect for someone who hauls their bike a lot. Lucky for me I ride mine.
I like nicker’s idea. peace
