Dirty Bird Concepts Indian Saddlebags Anti-Theft Hardware

Are you an owner of an Indian motorcycle model with saddlebags? If so, you may have heard a few complaints surrounding the stock mounting hardware. You also know that it’s extremely easy to steal saddlebags.

John Shope just released a safe option in mounting hardware that will greatly reduce the chance of loss or theft. These mounts are sold in a set and are easy to install. Other Indian custom parts also available online at Dirty Bird Concepts. 623-465-5263.

    Nice idea. Exactly like what one of the members on the Indian Forum did last year as well, but it does not allow you to easily take the bags off, which is the intent of Indian’s design. For my Scout bags I simply drilled holes in the locking levers, and ran plastic coated cable (49 cents/foot at Ace) through the holes, make loops on each end held in place with lead barrel swages, also ridiculously cheap, and use a tiny lock to hold them together. Total cost less than $5, and tens minutes if time. It actually took longer to go to Ace to get the stuff. Now it is impossible to remove the bags without the key because the locking levers face one another and can’t be rotated outward without removing the lock. Oh, doesn’t take up any more space either. Those bags are notoriously small…

    @Danny Ray and @Patrick

    You two should be dropped from Cyril Huze blog. What about a post on Indian MC bags requires anyone to spew current election BS?

    Go back to facebook.

    I agree. What the hell are you guys bringing politics into this discussion of Indian saddlebag locks.
    Cyril, black ball them.

    KD & SYF

    Patrick’s political rants are not worth the keyboard time and Danny Ray apparently belongs in the same snake oil pit with him. Patrick did the same in the last Thought of The Day. I myself will ignore their blue sky & wiffle dust rants…this blog has a way of cleansing itself.

    I like the Dirty Bird concept and I also like 18Bravo being budget minded. Both will do the job.

Now I can go on with my day and you have completely changed my mind on what I was thinking before. All because of the power of your internet troll rant. Bravo.

    Now that we all have heard whats on your mind.. F OFF.
