Polaris Industries, Inc. is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Slingshot motorcycles manufactured between Dec. 28, 2015 to April 27, 2016. In the affected units, the brake pressure switch may have been over tightened in the affected motorcycles. Over tightening of the brake pressure switch may damage the seal, allowing brake fluid to leak, resulting in reduced brake performance and increasing the risk of a crash.
Polaris will notify owners, and dealers will install new brake pressure switch seals, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in November 2016. Owners may contact Polaris customer service at 1-855-863-2284. Polaris’ number for this recall is T-16-02. Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
I must admit, it’s a neat looking car!
Once you drive one you know right away it’s definitely not a car…
Looks like a car to me…steering wheel, seat, side by side, seatbelts, roll bars…It IS a car!
I wouldn’t drive one of these if you paid me………………………………………………
You know how much Polaris cares if you all think it’s a car or not? Yeah, exactly that much. What f*cking difference does it make? They exploited a gov’t loophole to build a fun machine. So what?
Now here’s a brake problem! https://www.facebook.com/Formula1/videos/586490998174553/
Recalls are gonna happen no matter what !!
Seems to be a fact of life, these days !!!
