An overtightened primary chain is known to cause premature failure of the engine, transmission and primary bearing as well as to cause other complications” says James Simonelli, Brand Manager for Twin Power.
This video gives step-by-step instructions on how to install the tension reliever manual primary chain adjuster on your bike. It’s really easy to put this part in place and get back on the road.
Everybody’s got one…good info James…
Or you could install the Hayden auto tensioner and eliminate the chain tensioning issue without requiring manual tensioning adjustments.
Great product and video. I like the fact that it is made in the USA.
This is definitely something that I would use and or suggest using.
I do like the ease of installing and the adjustment procedure.
I’m not in love with pulling the outer primary cover every 5k to adjust. So its not just the manual adjuster, it’s buying a new outer cover with the older TC style chain adjustment window. Oh wait, this unit adjusts from the bottom, not where the window opening is. So that is not going to work. There are better solutions out there (Baker).
Nice video and product James and Bikers Choice!
Great idea because the stock harley ones are sprung way too tight and end up damaging the primary chain and other components
I’m with ya HD Rider. The M-6 Hayden makes way more sense. Also what’s up with the pink tools? LOL
anyone ever try the screaming eagle one if so was it very noisy like the 2 that i have installed …and removed
