Are three wheels better than four? Are 3-wheeler trikes, motorcycles or auto-cycles (it legally depends of the state where you live.) For the purpose of this short feature I don’t care. I acknowledge that I didn’t know Vanderhall Motor Works, a company based in Provo, Utah and currently exhibiting on Lazalle Street in Sturgis, offering test rides to bikers who like retro styling with 2 wheels in the front and side by side sitting.
The Venice model shown here gets a formed carbon composite body, a 1.4 4 Cyl Turbo engine, a 6-speed auto trans, heating systen, 8”wheels with black calipers for a 1375 dry weight for a standard price of $29,950 and many customization option. A very upscale Laguna model feature a hand-laid carbon fiber body and a mono-aluminum chassis for a price of $58,850.
Good article. Did not know about the Vanderhall Venice vehicle. will do a little more research!
Thanks!
This and the Morgan three are way more palatable than the Slingshot, IMHO.
Sexy 3-wheeler
Feels good to look at this after looking at a Slingshot
Very nice alternative that slots in between the Slingshot and the Morgan, Slingshot could use a few more body kit options, the Vanderhall has an upscale look missing on the Slingshot.
The back end is definitely it’s better side but it’s nice to see the market expanding.
Tres tres belle voiturette!!
Nicer than others from what I see in one picture the Morgan is sharp looking to if you live in a area with curves in the roads might be nice in the Midwest with roads like lines on paper and potholes bigger than watermelons ford escorts make more sense
Maybe Polaris could buy Vanderhall and then dump the Slingshot brand.
Very Nice
I like it and agree with Xenu. Better and sexier than the Slingshot. I’m not saying that just because of my disappointment with Polaris. The Slingshot is too busy looking. This more refined. The Morgan is cool too but I don’t care for the engine position and location out in front. A bug magnet if I ever saw one and a pain to clean. I’d choose the Morgan over the Slingshot too though.
The only problem with any of these 3 wheelers (can’t call them trikes) is no storage for taking trips. They all need a trailer which kind of defeats the sports car-like handling, fun factor, and looks.
