You know that every year Harley-Davidson organizes a custom build competition among its official dealers. This year in its 4th edition, the competition is between 274 dealers in 21 countries. Objectives: – for Harley, to show to the public its most recent models and the creative reserve inside its dealer network – for Dealers, to get more bike and o.e.m custom parts sales.
Dealers started to work in October 2017, had 3 months to complete a road-legal build, had to spend no more than 7,400 dollars (half spent on genuine H-D accessories), and could choose as a platform either a Sportster Iron 883, Forty-Eight Roadster, Street 750, Street Rod, Street Bob and Fat Bob.
The finalist for the region UK/Ireland Region is Syc Kustoms, the custom side of Sycamore Harley-Davidson of the UK as judged at at the Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle Show. Named “The Alley Rat”, this custom Sportster Forty-Eight will now go head to head with the finalists from other regions at a Grand Final to take place at Milan’s EICMA exhibition in November 2018 where the “Custom King” will be crowned.
?
This bears a striking resemblance to the new 48 special… Coincidence?
Is this the rest of Harley’s 100 new models.
Since when did “looking Shit” become the new “looking good”?
The King has no clothes.
And his junk is rusty.
Yea remember the old saying
“Patina-you can’t paint it you have to earn it”
?????
Sportsters are just to porky nowdays
So this is what is considered good these days? No wonder the motorcycle industry is dead, Honestly I see better at the local watering hole om any given weekend
Hum, yes; this is seriously banal and ugly it pains me to say…
There’s a very similar bike in the Harley Museum. It washed over from Japan in a flooded shipping container.
Loser
Hi, sincèrement rien d’extraordinaire!!!
I know this dealership team personally and they put their heart and soul into creating this custom bike, the guys there are super passionate about the bike they built. They are hard working guys that put in loads of hours outside normal working hours to complete this bike.
So does a washing machine. Under the constraints it is hard to be tooooo original.
AMF throwback stripes?
i like the amf graphics. i liked it when it was actually amf and everyone was scraping that off.
fake patina is BS. simple as that.
