These slip-ons for Indian Scout replace the stock mufflers and produce a rumbling, throaty, more impressive exhaust note.
Being less restrictive than stock they will let your engine breathe deeper, providing a quicker/crisper throttle response.
They also add some style to your bike with a premium finish to your exhaust tips.
MSRP $799.99. More info at Indian Motorcycle or at your local dealer.
$800.00 for mufflers that will still sound crap
what a deal ?????
seriously, $800 for these? The guys at Polaris need to rethink how important these are.
If you like Indians and you have a healthy bank account, fine. I just hope Polaris stays profitable enough to merit their investment, and that they do better with the Indian brand than the previous owners. They dropped Victory for a reason, and hopefully it will pay off, and Harley can have some real competition in American-made big bikes.
Oh myyy $$$$
Set of crushers will set you back $300.
Step right up and bend over
Another example of management incompetence. It’s one thing to try and sell an 800 dollar accessory to a 25k dollar Bagger buyer. The Scout starts out at 9000 dollars for the whole bike. How many of those buyers are going to pay almost 10% total cost of the bike for some slip ons? Polaris brass do not understand the market they’re trying to compete in.
$800.00…? The pipes look ok but $800.00….? I’m reminded of the “Lipstick on a pig” analogy.
$800??? Who do they think they are, RSD?
c’est cher!!
Don’t worry about the outrageous prices folks, these pipes come with a complimentary jar of lube (Indian Brand of course), and it’s not for installation of the pipes.
Wow. $800!
The HD Screamin’ Eagle Street Cannon Slip-On Mufflers for the Sporty are only a little over half that, and I thought they were expensive. Indian is definitely confusing their touring market with the Scout market.
Hmmm… $200 slip-ons for $800. What’s not to like.
Thing is they look just like the Scout Bobber pipes; just with a larger bore. A handy person could modify the stock mufflers and save $700. Maybe more.
Aftermarket suppliers can do better to sell hp per $.
