In Cologne, Germany, Harley-Davidson just unveiled a new prototype inspired by the flat track scene that Harley dominates since so many years. Dressed in racing orange this XR1200 is powered by the European version of the 1200 V-Twin motor pounding out 90 bhp. This prototype is the result of a close collaboration between Harley factory in Milwaukee and the European Product Team that recently brought us the “Night Rod Special”. This XR-1200 features a sophisticated electronically controlled air intake system, new designed Showa forks, and of course very powerful new brakes. Of course, the objective of this unveiling is to test the reaction of the media and of the public. No difficult to guess that Harley is testing new concepts able to attract a younger clientele interested by speed.
