Bikers Are Beautiful People By Byron Morelock (Brother Of Gerald)

Byron Morelock is the brother of Gerald Morelock killed in the accident with Billy Lane. He wrote to me and to all of you. I am very moved by the ending of his writing. Below is his message. Please, comment respectfully. If you prefer privacy, email your messages to editor@cyrilhuzeblog.com and I will forward to him. Cyril Huze.

"Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. No one on this Earth knew Gerry better than I…..next my boy & Mom & sister. Never knew Billy. Probably never will. I never have said publicly a disrespectful thing about him. As for his irresponsible decisions and actions,  “Family Devastation” probably on both sides…We are trying to have faith in our country’s justice system. Although it seems that some of the people ( wealthy, famous, huge Corporations) are MORE equal than others…My bro always hugged me like a big Viking and said: “I am so proud of you for keeping up a positive attitude with life’s ups & downs” “Here i am Gerry….still trying”. If all of you really knew all the facts and of the intentional “sweeping this under the carpet” tactics and character assassination being employed towards my family…I truly believe that justice should be served with true public opinion. Not a day goes by that I do not get mails and calls from hundreds of sweet, caring souls offering moral support to my family. There are so many other families out there that have been hurt with similar tragedies. Let’s all try and learn from this crap, try and turn something positive out of this. That’s what Gerry would have wanted. RIP Bro. PS: Bikers Are Beautiful People" Byron Morelock

Yes, we all hope that something positive will come out of this tragedy. Thank you for the way you qualify bikers. Yes, they are good people, more than most.

As I have told you before Byron. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I know that your son is suffering greatly. I suffered at his age when I lost a beloved Uncle. My Uncle did not die by the hands or actions of another but a heart attack at a young age after walking out of the doctors office. I hope that your fanily has justice served. As Gerry Spence, one of the best trial lawyers and speakers in our country said, justice is different for the lost and poor. It is sad that money can buy justice with a high powered and expensive lawyer. Prayers are with you. Will light a candle for your brother at Easter service. Keep the faith and be strong for your son and mother always.

Mr. Morelock, you seem to be a compassionate person and I respect that you have not publicly bashed Billy Lane. I hope you understand that because we feel for Billy does not mean we disrespect your brother or what your family is going through. May God bless you and your family and ease your sorrow.

    Byron.
I am grateful to be able to have found a venue to express my condolences to you and your family. The fact that it was a biker, famous biker, rich biker, or any biker that killed you brother is not relevant. Billy should be given the same call to justice that anyone should receive. I would think that a real biker would be less apt to use low down tactics to dodge living up to his responsibilities in taking his part of the blame for what happened. The amount of ‘purchased justice” in this country is a plaque upon our society.
