Bush Appoints Harley CEO Jim Ziemer To International Trade Advisory Board

Jim Ziemer, president and chief executive officer of Harley-Davidson, Inc., has been appointed to a two-year term on the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations (ACTPN) by President George W. Bush.  "I’m deeply honored to be appointed by President Bush to this Committee," and I look forward to the opportunities to share our Company’s perspectives on international trade matters, particularly as Harley-Davidson looks to grow our international presence." The ACTPN, established in 1974, is the President’s premier private-sector advisory panel on international trade and members play a critical role in providing advice to the President and the United States Trade Representative on matters related to international trade. Membership on this committee includes CEOs of large and small businesses, public policy makers, and leaders of major trade associations. The ACTPN, whose members volunteer their time as a public service, meets 2 to 3 times per year in Washington, D.C.
