Harley-Davidson Prepares 105th Anniversary Celebration

In 2008 Harley-Davidson will celebrate its 105th Anniversary with thousands of loyal Harley enthusiasts riding home to Milwaukee via 105 different official starting points and along 25 major routes across the country. The celebration will take place August 28-31, 2008, with several exclusive ticketed events, as well as many activities that are free and open to the public. In true Harley-Davidson style, there will be four days of non-stop activities planned throughout the city of Milwaukee. The events will be centered around the Milwaukee lakefront area with highlights including music, food and entertainment at the Summerfest Grounds, activities at the Harley-Davidson Museum, and a special Harley-Davidson exhibit at Discovery World. Harley-Davidson 105th Anniversary Celebration ticket packages will go on sale August 15, 2007. Advanced ticket sales to H.O.G. members will take place August 1-15, 2007.

I am very happy to say that I will be attending this event as I had such a good time at the 100th
I prefer to make the ride by myself or with a small group of friends as opposed to the organized ride. I am sure organized rides have a lot of advantages and maybe one of these days I will try one.
Coverage of the ride would make a good article now all I have to do is find a sponsor Haha
If you can make this event I would suggest you do. I know you will have a great time.

In 2003 the magazine I work for, Heavy Duty, brought 600 people and 360 Harley-Davidsons over from Australia for the 100th. We are already taking bookings for the 105th though don’t expect it to be quite as big. See ya all there, eh.

Harley-Davidson has always been the king of “Anniversary Models” & “Anniversary Celebrations” for about everything except for a full moon.
Why would the Harley-Davidson 105th Anniversary Celebration be a surprise to anyone?

I was there on the same ride Doc. What an event. I am looking forward to the 105th as well. I covered over 10,000 Klm in 4 weeks back in 2003. Most of us brought our own bikes over from Australia. Doc will confirm but I think we filled 16 40 foot containers with Harleys. We where the largest single overseas group, by a country mile. Wont be missinng the 105th. See you there.
