Titan Motorcycles Assets Sold To Arizona Motorcycle Works

In January 2007 Titan Motorcycles Cie (TMC) had filed a voluntary petition for relief under Chapter 11 of Title 11 of the United States Code, 11 U.S.C. §§ 101, et seq. (the "Bankruptcy Code") in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona to continue to manage its property as debtor and debtor-in possession. On August 6, 2007 an asset purchase agreement was signed between TMC (Titan Motorcycle Cie) debtor in-possession and Arizona Motorcycle Works as buyer where all assets of Titan were sold for about $300,000. Arizona Motorcycle Works is a built bike specialist already specializing in Titan motorcycle repairs & service and is located behind the ex-Titan Motorcycles factory. Are we seeing the end of the "Harley Clones" industry which started to boom in the mid 90’s? Tell me what you think.

this is what i call overdose of everything.when titan started, there were far less parts and bike builder there.the overflooded market of parts had killed the original bike builders who truly were master builders.
    anyway….R.I.P.titan.

  2. 2 Brian Aug 8th, 2007 at 2:04 pm

Sorry to see Titan go, I agree with jatinder the whole chopper thing is overflooded, I think people who want to stay in this business will gravitate toward bikes that can be ridden farther and longer. Hence the new shift towards custom baggers. Hopefully too the shift will take the attention from mass produced customs and put the attention back onto true custom builders and their bikes.

ANOTHER AMERICAN SCREW JOB. THEY GO BELLY, SELL TO SOMEONE ELSE. THE COURT DIDNT MAKE THE NEW OWNER HAVE TO PAY ANYONE FOR FOR THE PRODUCTS THAT TITAN BURNED EVERY SUPPLIER FOR. THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT GOT PAID WERE THE LANDLORD AND THE BANK ( OHHHHHHHHHH LETS NOT FORGET THE LAWYERS ) THERE WASNT EVEN ANY MENTION IN THE COURT PAPERS ABOUT PAYING BACK SUPPLIERS FU

    Cyril,
I do not think that we are seeing an end to the Harley clones industry per se. I think that we are past the television shows of OCC.

I feel that this niche industry is reinventing itself. The folks that are buying choppers are expressing interests in other things. For the most part, many of these bikes were not good motorcycles to ride. This brought to mind the utility of a declining investment. Many owners were unwilling to spend neither the extra money nor time needed to maintain the cosmetics nor the workings of these bikes. Others were satisfied with a product such as Big Dog turns out.

Several things must happen for this industry to survive. From an artisan standpoint, the palette needs to be expanded. Very few of the artisans are willing or able to think beyond the Harley mindset at this point. Once, the collective group accepts themselves within that realm and honors themselves for making that choice of direction, more progressive thinking and better bikes will prevail. The H-D mindset of many of the builders is still wrapped around the H-D because of a forgotten key point of history. Harleys were initially modified because there was an abundance of them and they were relatively cheap. Oh, there is still an abundance of them however, they are no longer a cheap platform from which to build. Many of the riding groups that evolved post World War Two, insisted upon Harley ownership because they were abundant and cheap and the parts were interchangeable. This was a built in safety factor for the membership. This meant that you could always get home. A key point that also is missed during present day assessment of this industry appears when government interference is assessed.

Most of the people within the niche “Harley Clone” industry have been unable or unwilling to either band together or stand alone against government regulation. Thee lack of solidarity has hurt the industry immensely. The lack of unity has made it difficult for the consumer to get reliable service. This in part is due to the demise of the independent shops. Harley has helped put these shops out of existence. Many of whom were able to service and or further modify any motorcycle. What has been done to educate the customer or potential customer on how to ride these creations?

The demise of the “Harley Clone” industry has been brought on by the greed of many within it and furthered by those that didn’t give a damn or did not know how. Many left all the workings of this community to “someone else”. The trouble is, that there was not a “someone else” to help unify and set the course or standard for all to follow. Mock competitions for television dollars and the highlighting of dysfunctional characters only put the image of the biker in jeopardy and further fractured any solidarity of the true artisans. Who really cares if you can spend a quarter million dollars on a Teutul Shuttle. The real bike builder would take a project and say that he could build something unique and beautiful for a set amount that would price their reliable, ridable creation within reach of the masses rather than the elite. Assembling hundreds or thousands of one off parts is a commonplace occurrence for most within this niche industry. Assembling hundreds or thousands of people employed within this industry has not happened on a scale that has been significant either economically or legislatively. Take those creative minds and talents and assemble yourselves into a reliable and working machine that is accessible to the community that you are building these bikes for. Educate yourselves, your customers and your legislators on the reasons why your business and industry is necessary to riding and to the overall motorcycle industry.

So is this the 3rd time Titan has gone broke and screwed its suppliers? as a former supplier and previous “screweeee” to Titan I agree Good riddance.
I know several people who have been financially hurt by Titans crappy business ethics….

I just find it funny that the same people who were at Titan last year are still around and working…

I really believe the new company has no ties to the origingal..
    ya right

It seems that the people of Titan and the people of Arizona Bike Works are the “same”. Just a way to transfer assets of a bankrupt company to another one and not pay the vendors. Lawyer stuff. Welcome to America.

I doubt that one company provides the basis for determining the health of “the Harley Clone industry.”

However, as i see it, you-all have expressed the dynamics of the issue rather concisely:

“…this is what i call overdose of everything…”
“…we are past the television shows of OCC …”
    “…niche industry is reinventing itself…”

Moreover, the dynamics of the “Custom Scooter Market” is burdended by a self- limiting factors. At the risk of being accused of “pissing in the punch bowel” i’ll say it once again:

The Custom Scooter evolved as a cultural icon. It emerged from a small community of “rugged individuals”, each of whom created their own instance of that icon as a statement/showcase of their own talents. We road the Hell out of our creations and we improved them as we learned our craft. At that time, anyone who purchased a “finished product” was ridiculed as a poser (sorry, that’s the way it was in NorCAL).

A limiting factors back then was the “hard core” 1%.
In the bad old days one could “loose” a bike by simply showing up at the wrong place.

But the Gang Taskforce of the late 60’s essentially marginalized that factor and opened up the custom field to all “the nicest people you meet on a Honda” (RE: tv commercial) who, after a while were looking for a bit more excitement.

    Why the history lesson?
Well, that’s the background for today’s custom market.

So, when the minority turns into the majority the scooter scene looses it cache. And that is the Chopper’s major limiting factors.

Some years back, an article in SF “City Bike” quoting Barger as saying “…if I see another yuppy accountant on a chopped Harley, I’m going to buy a Honda…”
Come to think of it, not too long after that I read in the same rag that the HA Road Captain showed up on that year’s Readwood Run on a K model Beemer.

    RE:
“…business will gravitate toward bikes that can be ridden…”

Sure enough…..On this years geezer ride (Stockton to Seattle & back) the last of the two custom sportsters were replaced by two Classic baggers. An RT-Beemer and an FXR were replaced by Ultra-classics. And everyone had radios, I-pods and inflatable mattresses with battery powered air-pumps……. 🙂

Ya, looks to me like baggers & Lenno’s sports bike are the new custom scene.

So, as a recent buyer of Titan (purchased at Sturgis last year) and having my last year warranty stripped from my fingers due to this Bankruptcy news, I am scared that I will have to own this bike for another 10 years and now, not have a Distributor who can provide with me parts direct? My dealer is in a panic because they have to now, charge their customers such as myself for work that should be covered under this warranty. I have had to deal with Titan on a direct level and felt the way I was treated was fair but I’m afraid on, what was a small factor in the beginning to purchase, as up and gone like a fart in the wind. I love my bike, for a Chopper, a comfy ride for the 1000 miles that I put on it. Where does stuff like the Warranty go when the Company promising the warranty can no longer deliver? I think it’s sad, however they mismanaged to have to turn to filing Bankruptcy, or whatever the reason, for all the consumers that gave them a chance, even after filing the first 2 bankruptcy’s. Counting myself.

Sooz, I own an Indian. Out of business since ’03 and I’m still riding and take my word for it that my PowerPlus mill is quite a bit more rare than a Titan S&S.
As long as the bike is rideable then ride it and enjoy. Believe me, you’ll find that you are resourceful enough to keep it on the road. There’s not much on a Titan that only a Titan part can fix. It’s never going to be a collectors piece so if a little mix and match is what it takes to keep your knees in the breeze, that really is small potatos.
If you are really panicked over the lost warranty, pick up an aftermarket warranty from one of the half dozen or more outfits that offer them. It’ll cost a grand for three or four years of coverage but if peace of mind is what you need then that’s pretty cheap medicine.

Rick, there are companies that can get your bike registered in Cali for a fee. Shake a few trees or try google.

The truth is that Titan is a harbinger of things to come. The days of long noses is about over. Choppers, real choppers where you kill at least one motorcycle making your chopper, they won’t die as long as BSC and guys like The Horse bunch are still kicking. But storebought radicals are an unsustainable commodity in a mass market. The thrill is gone. There’s one on every block of every cookie cutter development in the lower 48. The market is changing. A ‘Busa with dual blowers and a 16″ swingarm extension is state of the art custom to a new generation of bikers. The market is dwindling. The capital that supported this long nose and billet binge is well over ten years older now than when this started. Tastes change, bodies age, 2nd childhoods become 2nd adulthoods. Borrowing saddlebag space for your leather gets old. Back pain and the relentless search for the next gas station gets old. Polishing 4 hours to ride to a club a half hour away gets old.
I don’t know if Big Bear has it knocked but that long nose bagger they are debuting might find legs. I hope it does. Not for the fat tire but for the frame tech. Sweet attempt anyway.
There will always be a place for well thought out and constructed chops. It’s just going to be a much smaller market and many of the assemblers and parts collectors that called themselves builders are going to fall away.
    Supply and demand.

Sounds like your predicting that OCC is buying into a declining market, state-side anyway. i agree.

But what do you think about the overseas market for “fad-chops”…?

  16. 16 Pop Sep 10th, 2007 at 10:12 am

Yep Nicker. Yesterdays gotta have here is tomorrows gotta have somewhere else. The thing is here is where we invent the gotta haves. The fat tire craze has spawned some great innovations and entitled not a few folks to pay taxes in a higher bracket, but it sure looks like a dead end. The V twin customizers need a new craze to exploit here so that they have something to carry them over there.
Without going all new age the pinnacle of minimalism is nothing which is the differnces between many longnoses. When you look at some of these builders products stacked up against others you see the differences but you also see the sameness. The most interesting thing many of the current long nosers offer is their clothing line. (Pop buys at Big & Tall so bike shop fashions don’t float my boat).
A note though. There are exceptions to the rule and Cyril Huze is that. The only sameness in the Huze stable that I’m aware of is a signature style that I think I could recognize on a bike without knowing. The longnoses here are stylistically different but so are the bobbers et al. This is orders of magnitude.
I won’t name the names beyond OCC(simply because they are the Three Stooges of motorcycle craft and they believe in the old dictum that any press is good press) but they are not the least and they aren’t alone.

I agree. Thought the “craze” might be V-twins in Cafe-racer/hot rod form.

A few ‘Norvin-like” bikes showed up, but it doesn’t seem to be catching on…?

I wouldn’t bet on the Euro-market supporting the current trend. I guess OCC is betting differently.

I purchased a new left over 06 Radical Ridgid from a dealer in Texas. Also bought some parts from Titan in Sturgis this year. Only to discover that they didn’t fit my bike when we got home. Tried calling Titan direct for 2 weeks & only got a recording. I thought maybe they were closed for two weeks for vacation or something. Dam was I wrong! I called the dealer in Texas & was told about them closing.
It really pisses me off that they would sell parts at Sturgis knowing they were going out of business.Oh well I still enjoy my bike. I just wish the previous owner or prick named Proudfoot all the best. What goes around comes around and you will surely get yours.

If Titan parts are needed they are available on Ebay (new). Titan is NOT dead. For those who love to ride and love there bikes, Titan will be back. No matter what vicious rumors or opinions that are posted, anything is possible as long as you DON’T give up.

  24. 24 BJS Oct 10th, 2007 at 9:37 am

Freespirit: The only thing new by Titan that I could find on e-bay was leather jackets & sunglasses. You come off as being pro-Titan! Maybe you have some connections or close friends with the previous owner or new owner. Who is probably the same person. They screwed alot of people and should be held accountable. I know they sold several bikes in Sturgis this year knowing all well they were going under. If they had displayed a “Going Out Of Business” sign at Sturgis then no one would have any merit for all the negative comments. But they chose to screw the innocent unknowing public, not to mention the vendors they screwed. Proudfoot deserves everything coming to him and then some.

Judging from your responses about Titan and me needing to do alot more riding and less complaining and skeletons in the closets. You appear to be some lonely kid or relative of Titans previous owner or current owner trying to justify what they have done.Is that why you typed your response in all caps?
You are right about not having any control over things. But I can voice my opinions about what Proudfoot did and hopefully make someone aware of his shitty business practices.

Proudfoot and Freespirit have NOTHING in common. I am only voicing my opinion too. Thanks

  28. 28 Burned by Proudfoot Oct 18th, 2007 at 4:51 pm

I too have been burned by Donn Proudfoot.
He has taught me what to look for in a manufacture, when
carrying a franchise. The most important thing I have learned
dealing with Donn is to deal only with manufactures who treat
my customers right! Not being fair to me is bad enough, but to
drag my good name down with him became unacceptable to me.
I have purchased extended warranties for customers who have
been burned by Donn. It’s very embarrassing to have a customer purchase
a Titan with a 2 year warranty and then get nothing for it.
I am very careful at who I choose to deal with manufacture wise.
Saxon Motorcycles is an example of what a manufacture ought to be.
Saxon has been extremely good to me and my customers.
When I have submitted warranty items, I have been paid for them.
If my Saxon customer has a warranty problem, it has become a Saxon problem.
David Schwam takes it personally and that means alot to me!
2 years & unlimited mileage warranty means a lot to my dealership and
my customers! Good Job Saxon! Titan good guys have all moved on to bigger and better positions in the industry. I think we need a manufacture to step up to the plate and help us take care of the Titans out there. I will never be a Titan Dealer again with anyone buddies with Donn! If Donn were gone and Hope with him, there might be a chance, but I don’t see her disappearing unless Titan goes away completely.

It’s very nice to hear comments from a concerned dealer. Where were you able to purchase extended warranty’s for the Titans that you sold? The dealer that I bought my new 06 model from didn’t offer anything. He was upset about Titan owing him money and not about the new owners with a worthless warranty.
Again thanks for showing concern for your customers.

  30. 30 Burned by Proudfoot Oct 20th, 2007 at 12:11 pm

Depending on how old your bike is will determine if you can get an extended warranty. You should contact your dealer and have him check with the extended warranty company they use. Our extended warranty company was wonderful to us and helped us out. It cost us money, but we felt a bit responsible for selling our customer a TITAN! We have struggled to keep a couple Titan’s on the road. It’s very difficult if the manufacture is shut down and you can’t get the parts. Ebay has not had the parts we needed. We are using other resources to take care care of our customers and we will manage! Customer’s are not the only ones burned by Titan. The dealers have all taken it in the shorts! Good luck to you! As a previous Titan dealer and Saxon dealer for the past 3 years, as a suggestion to Burned Out by Proudfoot, you ought to be careful because Mr David Schwam can be a BIGGER snake than Proudfoot, as least you knew Proudfoot was going to scr** you. No, I would never do business with Proudfoot again under any name or circumstance but David Schwam will promise you the world, moon and stars in the beginning until the next dealer with more buying power comes along and place you on the side. Good Luck.

At this point, there aren’t too many people and businesses that haven’t been burned by Proudfoot but I personally know Hope, Fred, Dave and a couple of the other guys that worked for Titan and these are the people who truly tried to keep Titan strong and believed in their product. Don’t put someone down that was, and is, doing her best to get the Titan name back on the right track and do the right thing. She is a good person with a big heart, has no enemies, and would give you her last $20 bucks if you were in need. Please don’t try to put her in the same catagory with Proudfoot because there is NO comparison………….

The Guy that sued Andy Prude-foot –
Arturo Welch, Twin City Custom Cycles, Minnesota.
You are as much a loser, if not more of one, than Proudfoot.
We all know you survive off of your mother and HER money. You’ve never done anything in your life without hanging on her skirt tail. Grow the F*** Up and be a man or at least try to be a man.
And as far as bringing Jim Nasi’s name into all of this, you’d better back off. He is a talented and respected man unlike yourself.

  50. 50 freespirit Dec 18th, 2007 at 6:44 pm

Hmmm….Thought you were a better person than this Arturo. This can’t be good for your name or business.
And as for Jayme, she lives with a bottle of Vodka disguised in a water bottle from the minute she wakes up until she passes out at night. Seen ittoo many times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  51. 51 Dea;er rep Dec 18th, 2007 at 10:07 pm

I am a former dealer rep for Titan , this website was brought to my attention today by a former employee, The original concept of Titan was Great, and it was a company that was mis-managed to say the least, I really agree with the comments that the product was good in its time, It is indeed a shame that only one person mentions the customers who bought these bikes. It is them that my concern is for. One thing you all can take to the bank, when a motorcycle company goes down the way Titan did it has a ripple effect on the business. Don t really understand all the name calling on this website. It seems to me that there are more productive things to concentrate
on. and as far as the answer to the guy who sued proudfoot. I dont know who J is but this is John and all i tried to do was add a little credibilty to a company who really needed it to succed, my hands were tied.

  52. 52 Ex Dec 19th, 2007 at 8:25 am

I think Art was right to sue Donn.
It didn’t do any good though.
Donn thought he was above the law.
He sold products to nieve Dealers and
even customers direct, when he had dealers
    available. The frustration and neglect
of dealer support got Donn sued.
I don’t see where Jim Nasi’s name is on this blog,
    except on Burnout.
This blog has been a healthy way for those
who have been treated badly by Donn to vent.
All burned by proudfoot should be together,
not tearing at each other, unless of course
some of the posts are from sympathic Donn supporters.
I think we have posts from Donn and Hope on the mean
defense. I do not see Titan ever having the name it
once did again. I’d say buy from someone who treats
    you right!

  53. 53 THE GUY THAT SUED Andy Prude-foot Dec 19th, 2007 at 12:32 pm

Hey Burnout… anyone who defends Andy prudefoot.. is just as stupid and probably crooked as he is.. And you know what? The power of Mom is what has helped us get ahead.. THANK GOD FOR MOM! Seriously.. Thank the good Lord for mom. Yeah.. I agree with EX.. There is no mention of Jim Nasi except for whatever Burnout in his shorts wrote.. don’t you know how to read idiot? if your’e going to respond.. at least respond to the subject at hand moron! And yes everyone.. My name is Art Welch of Twin City Custom Cycles.. Check out the Website if you have a Moment.. wwwt.twincitycustomcycles.com We have 3 Titans left.. anyone want them? Thanks for the support EX.. What suing Andy, did was make him panic because he knew he had to follow the law.. and of course everyone knows Donny didn’t wanna follow the law ANYWHERE.
So as I hear according to what he told a dealer in another part of the midwest.. He filed for chapter 11 bankrupty to avoid being sued BY ME, because he realized that he had no real way out of the situation. Which means that anyone else that tried to sue Andy before me, gave up at some point or didn’t have someome representing their client the right way. AND I DIDN’T. I had have a good Attorney. And Burnout in your shorts, thanks to MOMS’ money, I’ve been doing just fine at the dealership thank you.. and yes I do mean THANKS, I’ve been able to keep on suing and suing and suing Don. There are other loop holes I’ve been able to go through.. And I will keep on top of it until the very end. If he F**cked with me.. He’s F**king with Mom.. and NO ONE F**Ks with mom. And if ya got anything mroe to say about it.. Here’s the shop # 651-765-9988.. And that goes for any crooked supporter of Andy.. ya got something to say.. give me a call.. I don’t mind talkin about it.. It’s all legal.. and I’ve been doing the legal thing all along.. I guess when ya do things the legal way.. you can’t really say much except bitch and moan about something YOU weren’t able to do huh?

  54. 54 THE GUY THAT SUED Andy Prude-foot Dec 19th, 2007 at 12:39 pm

hey Burnout in your shorts… since you seem to love Don so much.. you wanna buy these last 3 titans I got? It would really help me and Mom out! Comon! Be a good business guy and buy these from me will ya!?! =o) You’d actually be helping Don out in the long wrong.. comon buddy.. whataya say?! FreeSpirit.. I give those respect in business who give respect to those they do business with.. Don, was not and will never be someone who respects business, or anyone for that matter. Nor did he respect his own employees.. If I remember right.. He wanted some of his former employees to stay in a tent overnight for an event instead of paying for a room. Are you kidding? All his hidden assets in florida will soon surface, and he will more than likely lose everything.

Hey Art: How stupid can you Really be. I have NO support for Proudfoot what-so-ever.
You are the one that brought up Jim Nasi (about 11 messages up) and referred to him as “that loser hillbilly Nasi skinhead hick” word for word.
I was just wondering why such a “good” businessman has time to bad mouth alot of people in the business when you hide behind your Mother. Grow up man!

I bought a used 2003 Titan. Low miles and very nice. Now my concern is what happens when i need parts. Does anyone know who supllied the various parts like the transmission or the front forks. I know it has a titanized engine which happens to be a S&S 107 ” Evo style. Any idea of what the was done to make it titanized? is it just the Titan logo engraved on the rocker covers?

Proudfoot Motorcycles, Inc., dba Hot Bike Street Chopper of Ft. Meyers (“Hot Bike”) sold a Titan of mine to Nicholas Preece. I was never paid in full for this motorcycle and would like to hear from Nicholas. I can help if you are having trouble getting the Titan titled and licensed.

  73. 73 Art Welch Feb 11th, 2008 at 12:04 pm

Currently, Andy Proudfoot is trying to sell the business Proudfoot Motorcycles, Inc., dba Hot Bike Street Chopper of Ft. Meyers (”Hot Bike”), and also dba Arizona Motorworks, the CURRENT NAME that he is using under Hope, his girlfriend.. I contacted Kip about not doing business with Andy, and although he has not determined on whether or not he will buy the business, it would be great for all of you to voice your opinion so that Kip may see, and hopefully understand, that anyone that does business with Andy, has been, or will more than likely be burned by his business ethics. I am posting an e mail sent to me this morning February 11th, 2008. If anyone thinks this has been changed or altered, please send a response with your personal e mail, and I will forward you the original response by Andy. This e mail FROM Andy also indicates that Andy is obviiously still trying to run the show in the backround, behind Hope. It obviously ticked him off that I’m finding out information that he’s trying to keep well guarded, which is why he wrote me.

    Dear Artie
The other day you sent me one of your regular unsolicited chat messages claiming that Kip would not be doing business with me. I asked you what you meant and you refused to explain. Next day I receive an email from Kip asking who this Art Welch is. Kip was clearly annoyed that you had his number and that you contacted him in the manor you did. Then I get an email forwarded to me with your dialogue and Kip’s answer to you telling you not so politely to not bother him again
This email was forwarded to me. It is not the first time I have received such an email. An email from some one you have annoyed. Someone you have stalked. Someone you have pestered Someone you ‘have attempted to get them to lie for you. Someone whom insisted, you stop bothering them. I have several such emails, which I have saved for that special action.
I have not wasted my time answering your countless childish email and chat comments. You certainly are an unhappy sad individual. continually stalking me . Obsessed with your quest to slander me and Titan. Obsessed with your attempts to intervene in Titan business activities and my personal life. All because the little man did not get his way, As Artie claims” I always get my way”.
Artie, I am asking you on my behalf of my friends and associates that you cease harassing all of us for your personal cause .I demand that you cease interfering with Titan business as the new owner has had enough of your self serving crusade. If you do not, you will have the privilege of seeing all of them in court as a witness against you for harassing and slandering me and intentional interfering with Titan business activities. Most people do not share your negative opinion of Titan and everyone does not appreciate your childish negative attacks.
Artie, move on, get a life and be useful.
Artie, how many times do you have to be told by people to stop bothering them before you get the hint. Be a big boy and take responsibility of your own business
Bring it on Andy, I didn’t break the law.. YOU did.. i would LOVE to see you in court.. please, by all means, lets go to court. Lets do it in the U.S. Too so that you don’t try to run off to Canada.. And there has been NO slander, Andy… Only truth and Facts.. you switching Vin #’s on bikes speaks for itself… We’ll make sure to bring that up in court as well.. currently, so you know.. there is an investigation to see if the bikes I have here, also have the Vin #’s switched.. I’m sure you’ll be praying that I don’t have any of THOSE bikes. “Most people do not share your negative opinion of Titan and everyone does not appreciate your childish negative attacks.” are you kidding? haven’t you read the blog? Cyrilhuzeblog.com Type in TITAN in the search area.. PLENTY PLENTY of people that don’t like you, trust you, would never say anything good about you as a personal hair dresser, business person, or anything else you consider yourself to be. Please.. by all means, use what you think you have, that you think you can use in court against me.. although.. if you know the laws.. of which you don’t follow.. contacting a guy in Canada, is breaking no law in the U.S. So take your demands, and shove them where the Sun don’t shine Andy.. please.. lets go to court.. the sooner the better.

bye bye Andy.. have a good day.

    ARTURO

    ps
try using your real first name instead of hiding behind your middle or last name, cuz if I were you.. there’d be nothing to be “proud” about except that you’ll be going to jail soon.

Again, I ask you to stop harrasing and interfearing with Titan business. The new owner has had enough of your self indulgent crusade.

From what I understand.. he hasn’t bought it Yet Andy.. but thanks for writing back.. Keepin these for myself too.. These will show your guilt.. definitely no innocence on your behalf. I can’t wait for February 25th.

Your are interfering with AMW and now the other businesses AMW is communicating with. Your ignorant statement of ” this shows my guilt” is absolutely meaningless, typical Artie. As for February, 25, there is now trial and at no time will I be going to jail. You have to be guilty and proven so. I am not guilty.
    Now stop harassing me

Maybe you should stop writing me back then Andy… When you came to the shop in 2006, I asked who the owner of Titan was.. and you said, and I quote, “I AM Titan.” My employees of course took it as a joke, and laughed after you left. What they also thought was funny, was that all your little motorcycle videos all had you as the “star” in them. Are you seriously that vain? Anyway.. what the heck is this “YOU HAVE TO BE GUILTY CRAP”?? guilty of what? following the law? Jeez man, how stupid do you think a lot of people are? Go away now.. and stop buggin will ya? Sorry, havent been keeping up on the latest news with the bankruptcy. I am just wondering when this new company (i don’t know who’s name is even on the deed) will be taking over the “Dealer Agreements” as part of the buyout agreement. I guess I assume “Dealer Agreements” meaning the warranty and other things of that nature. I just want to get a New Speedometer and by rights, SHOULD NOT have to pay for it out of pocket. That’s why I wanted the direct line to Arizona Motorcycle works.
I have seen 2 reports on the Better Business Bureau dealing directly with the issue of these types of “Dealer Agreements”, alleging failure to honor terms regarding guarantees or warranties. Their answer was
“Company failed to respond to the BBB to resolve or address the complaint issues.” Not surprising was listed for 2 seperate addresses, same company.
With so many people being disgruntled after shelling out, in some cases, 10’s of thousands of dollars, it would seem to be that the right thing to do would make amends with these customers first before trying to re-start a business. Perhaps my morals and ethics lie deeper than others do. Fix the problem, keep customer’s happy, reply in a timely manner to inquiries, it doesn’t take a graduate of business school to know that. I work in manufacturing too and even though our customer are not always right, admiting to our mistakes and righting our wrongs helps keep them coming back and getting more down the road. If there is someone that has a connection to getting a Speedometer for a 2006 Radical Ridgid – it make my day to talk to you.

It is true my ‘momma’ feeds money from her dividends from the local casino into my business every month just so we may stay afloat, there is nothing wrong with that is there? Besides that fact that I believe HER money makes me who I am, which is superior to all. I am unprofessional I like to harass and manipulate people so that I may feel superior and make up for my SHORT comings mentally, sexually, physically and emotionally. It is not fair I was born this way and now I want to lash out to the rest of the world and let everyone know that I believe my shit don’t stink. Did I mention that I am hypocritical and angry because my biological parents are sorry excuses for parents maybe that is why I am so messed up…

TO ALL YOU TITAN OWNERS WHO NEED PARTS. TITAN IS STILL IN BUSINESS. ARIZONA BIKE WORKS HAS ACQUIRED THE RIGHTS AND PARTS TO TITAN, BUT ARE NOT UNDER OBLIGATION TO SERVICE WARRANTYS, OR DEALER AGREEMENTS. THEY HAVE A GOOD PARTS MAN WORKING THERE STILL WHO CAN HELP YOU SOURCE PARTS, OR FIND THE PEOPLE WHO MADE PARTS FOR THE OLDER BIKES, BUT DON’T GO BEATING HIM UP ABOUT WARRANTY WORK, SINCE THAT AIN’T HIS CONCERN. LOCATED IN PEORIA, ARIZONA, NOW.

Sneaky little troll. Too bad the banks didn’t do an investigation on that if it’s true aye? Wouldn’t put it past him though. It’s ok.. everything he’s done has caught up to him so far.. Last time he instant messaged me he told me the difference between him and I. 89. 89 Donn A. Proudfoot Mar 5th, 2008 at 8:25 pm

Well after much persuading by many good people to read this Blog. I have done so.
I really did not wish to provide any comments, but after reading some of the comments, I can see I should respond to some of the unfounded comments.
To Art Welch, you are a common liar. You claim I am in Florida selling Titan’s. What persuades you to make that false claim? You do not know I am in Florida let alone selling bikes.
    I am in Phoenix.
Now, Art Welch, I am calling you a pathetic lieing psychotic, Why, because you so matter-of-fact claim “he’s down there right now” and then imagine I am selling 2005- 2007 inventory. Do you know what a psychotic is? The dictionary states “mentally ill or unstable person, marked by loss of or greatly lessened ability to test weather what one is thinking about the real world is true “
I am not in Florida and I am not selling bikes there.
Finally, Art, I am putting you on notice that you have slandered my name and made a false claim of criminal activity. You comment that I have removed inventory from Titan so I could sell it cheap.
I had not removed anything that was not accounted for by me and the bank.
I expect that you will publicly, on this Blog, withdraw and apologize about these unfounded statements.
Now to the rest of the audience, let’s see if Art is man enough to apologize, and admit his lies. Most of the world knows I and Titan are not in Daytona Bike week in Florida. Everyone involved with the Titan bankruptcy knows all parties kept a close eye on motorcycle inventory.
How much do you want to bet that Artie comes back with some statement that does not even address this exact issue? Artie will go off on some other direction. maybe about my long lost brother I locked him up in cage, hid him from the world so my mother would think he was dead. Then I sued my mother for child support, because my mother was really my wife. But my name is not really Donn A Proudfoot, it is Donna, and I am really a woman that hates scornful little men. Woo, I am starting to sound like Artie. One crazy imagination!!
Hey, you got to laugh at the lunatics , it drives them crazy !!!

    PS
Whomever wrote the “I apologize for being Art Welch” You were right on the money about his character. Is it true about his mother supporting him? I met her in her dealership. Very pleasant lady. I mean that sincerely.

I did not right the Arturo epigram. Wish I did. I find it funny that Artie believer’s I did. He tells the world I did, without proof then chases his tail like a mad dog trying to prove it.
By the way Artie, when you catch your tale, you got your nose up your ASS.

    To the motorcycle community
I believe this blog was created to provide information to the motorcycle community and a forum whereby all concerned parties can receive assistance and further information. This is only my second time i have posted a comment . My first comment was more directed at a heckeler and a little goofy humor. So this time i sincerely hope the comments and info provided are informative and leave you with a better day.
So here is some information that I sincerely hope you find helpful
Titan in 1995 was the first to build a manufactured custom bike. Titan designed celebrity bikes long before OCC (Playboy Titan, Indianapolis 500 Titan, Fender guitar Titan, the Undertaker Titan, the Carol Shelby Titan, Nascar Titan’s. The god bless America Titan). Titan was the best dam custom motorcycle company, the leader, the innovator, the passion. Yes Titan, the company failed in 2001. The original owners built one hell of a brand but their management failed. I thought I could resurrect Titan and most people thought I could to. I failed my company. I have never denied that. I take responsibility for loosing my business
Some people say they got screwed because they feel they lost money to Titan. Well, I lost it all to Titan. Circumstances I could not manage.
Do I feel Screwed? For six years I worked with a legendry product. I met countless Titan fanatics on their Titan’s. I had the good fortune of working with Titan co workers that showed me the meaning of craftsman, dedication, true motorcycle enthusiast. For six years I gave everything. My thanks to Fred, Dave, DW, Mike, B1, Eric, Hope, Trunks, Brandon, Heather, Craig, Scott, Cindy, John, Jay, Grandma & Grandpa it is a much longer list, to all the good people of Titan Motorcycles of America. That is what I will remember. From here I will move on. I will assist anybody I reasonably can. The new owner of the Titan purchased the Titan assets, inventory and brand, to assist Titan owners. The new owner saved the Titan name or surely the bank would have liquidated and pieced out everything. Saving the Titan brand is the second most important event for Titan owners. It demonstrates that the new owner of Titan Motorcycles of America and the riders/owners of Titan motorcycles are true motorcycle enthusiasts. Pride in the product and they love to ride.
You know that is what it is all about.
The most important issue is, the new owner along with a very limited loyal staff will do their best to support the needs of Titan owners, dealers and vendors. Please take advantage of what they have done for you. I believe Titan Motorcycle Company of America, will always be there and live another day.
For your information the new owner is Arizona Motorcycle Works. Owned by a former Titan employee Hope Smith. Address is 9299 west Olive ave. suite 306 Phoenix Arizona, 85345, phone 623 215 3629 fax 623 217 2537. The Titan web site is up and you can email directly.
Instead of all the soap opera stuff and self serving crusading, please pass on your best wishes to Hope Smith and her staff. They deserve it.
To all the past Titan employees, together we built a great bike. Nobody can take that away from us.
