The 2008 Carlisle Bike Fest is one of the best tickets on the East Coast for fans of everything on two wheels. Stunt shows, bands, vendors, food and drinks and special guests will be packed into one weekend at the Carlisle Fairgrounds in Carlisle, Pennsylvania on July 25-27. The Carlisle Bike Fest is nicknamed “The Show” because everything that you would find at the largest events will be offered. In addition to enjoying the scenic rides throughout Central PA, the 2008 edition will see new features. Two motorcycles from two different classes will be included in the 2008 Carlisle Bike Fest Give Away on two days Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, Cumberland Cycle Center of Carlisle and Koup’s Cycle Shop of Harrisburg will present a lucky winner with a new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R. On Sunday, Carlisle Events will celebrate the 105th anniversary of Harley Davidson Motorcycles by presenting a new 105th anniversary Harley Davidson Dyna Wide Glide to a second lucky attendee. Another addition is regional and local recording artists that will be performing all weekend long. The line-up includes Mitch Hood, Ledbetter Heights and The Underwater. Also featured the StarBoyz Stunt Shows, the Freestyle Motocross Stunt Shows, The Wall of Death, Trial Riders obstacles climbs and the famous P & M 2 Powertrain and Koup’s Cycle Shop Burnout Contest.
To add to that tradition, the Carlisle Fighter Fest and Carlisle Rat Rod Revivals have been added as a new aspect to the show. The Carlisle Fighter Fest sponsored by Karns Performance will bring out the best in chopped European sport bikes including Buells, Ducati Monsters and other Naked Sport bikes. The first ever Carlisle Rat Rod Revival will take place on Sunday and is for fans who love loud and powerful hot rods.
A number of featured builders will show their new custom builds and offer insight to custom motorcycle building sport bikes, v-twins and more. Metric Revolution builders Steve Kehler, Sam Nehme and Brad Ruel will all be on hand. Bryan Fuller, from TV’s Two Guys Garage as well as Biker Buildoff will also be showcasing his bikes. The Garage Girls, Sara Liberte and Jody Perewitz will host seminars and will be featured on Carlisle’s builder roundtable to present the ladies perspective on custom motorcycle building.
