Harley-Davidson Motor Company is recalling 2008 FLTR. FLHR, FLHP, FLHX. FLHPE, FLHRC, FLHRSE4, FLHT, FLHTC, FLHTCU, FLHTCUSE3, FLHTP models. The recall is due to a problem with the cracking of the fuel filter shell. It may creates a loss of fuel pressure which could make the motorcycle fail to start or to stall in traffic when riding, with possibility of crash and injury for the rider. anyone know how they know if the recall is needed?
v.i.n. number maybe??
They need your win#. I did mine already about a week ago. It was minor. And if you own an 08 FLTR. FLHR, FLHP, FLHX. FLHPE, FLHRC, FLHRSE4, FLHT, FLHTC, FLHTCU, FLHTCUSE3, or FLHTP that needs to be recalled and you don’t go to a dealer, you’ll receive a letter from HD in about 3 months to see if you still own the bike or not. They are pretty good at making sure everybody is covered on that type of recall.
A minor recall by Harley not mandated by the Feds. Simple
