Of course you noticed. Most custom motorcycles are conceived for a solo rider. Big Bear Choppers has decided to take 2 of their models, the “Devil’s Advocate” and the “Venom Pro Street” and to configure them with a 2-up design. Evidently strong struts are used to support the rear fender and the seats include a passenger back rest. Big Bear Choppers.

What’s going on with BBC recalls on their frames?
I thought that the recall was with Big Dog and it was minimal ???
Big Bear Choppers recalls are here.

The frame recall on Big Dog was (back in 2003) minimal, and it was not life threatening to the rider.
However it was the result of a poor design by Rolling Thunder, and Big Dog Motorcycles still stepped up and handled everything at no expense to anyone but Big Dog themselves.
Very commendable.
You guys are talking about “recalls”, am I the only one that sees a horrible thing happening??? Passengers on a long chopper???? what’s the world coming too!!!!
In response to comments regarding the Big Dog / Rolling Thunder recall:
The Big Dog Motorcycle recall was in early 2003 and was on, roughly, 100 motorcycles. The problem was on the support tube under the backbone and how it was connected to the downtube which caused a stressor and ultimately fractured the backbone tubing. It was an oversight that neither Rolling Thunder nor Big Dog Motorcycles realized as both parties were responsible for its’ design. As far as “stepping up” and handling the recall, Rolling Thunder replaced all questionable frames at our cost. Rolling Thunder produced thousands of frames for Big Dog Motorcycles from 2000 to 2005 without issue and although the recall was costly to both parties, it forced us to re-evaluate how we manufacture and made us a much better company for it.
As other manufacturer’s can attest too, innovation does not come without risk, it’s how you handle the situation that makes you who you are today.
nice motorcycle……..
I like it..
