I love this show (it’s Las Vegas, Baby), participated to it and I will try to be present at this 8th edition, at least as a visitor for a change (to celebrate my birthday?). The official Las Vegas Website has a ton of useful info to help you prepare your visit. With very reasonable hotel rates (as you know hotels are cheap because they know you are going to spend some money downstairs…), and even cheaper when you make your reservations asking the special Las Vegas BikeFest rate. It’s a great destination for fun and riding in the Valley Of Fire (poker run sponsored by Red Rock Harley-Davidson), checking the gorgeous custom bikes at “artistry In Iron” and at the Fairmont bike show, checking all the vendors, watching the wet t-shirt contests, or going to see friend Branscombe Richmond perform on stage at the Fiesta Hotel (October ¾ at 8 PM), etc. Any questions? Call 866-BIKEFEST (245-3337) or visit Las Vegas Bikefest.

The amazing thing I found in putting together a rally page for the Las Vegas rally was ROOM RATES – The rally is staged at the “old strip” known as the Fremont Experience – where there is a huge neon light show right through the center of the strip’s covered walk area. Room for the rally were negotiated at a half dozen hotels at $39 to $119, including the 4Queens, Golden Nugget and Fitzgeralds Casino Hotels. I have the best fun at those places… definately the 4Queens is the best craps table in town where the locals hang. Compared to the way Daytona Beach and other places jack the room rates up a rally time, the Las Vegas rally is a bargin. There is also a $100,000 poker run… it’s VEGAS. It’s also a chance to see some beautiful California built bikes in the Artistry in Iron Master Builders Competition – although last year’s winner was Belgian freestyle builder
We’ll be there, inside at the cashman center right next to the “Artistry In Iron” show.
