I have in front of me the Official Program for the 5th Annual DeLnad Bike Rally that helps to kick off Daytona Bikeweek on the first weekend of the event – starting with the gala biker bash and continuing Saturday in DeLand with the DeLand Bike Rally Pro-Am Show presented by Seminole Harley Davidson – registration 9 to 11 a.m. – with cash prizes for “Best Bike” and custom bikes and vintage bikes.

How about a “Salute to Veterans” Wounded Warrior Ride-in with parachute fly-in, honor guartd presentations, vintage motorcycle display all day – a Kids n Chrome Zone and the “Art of the Ride” outdoor art exhibit with airbrush wizard Chris Cruz… that’s just before noon on Saturday.

Rocking the rally will be Big Engine, one of the most well-known and popular rock bands in the Southeast, and one of the best blues bands of all time, The Nighthawks from Washington DC.

All this and more on Saturday – then the ride from the museum, which is across from Stetson University on US 17-92 (Woodland Blvd.) about half a mile north of the US 92 turnoff from Daytona. I enjoyed this family-friendly rally a lot last year, also the biker bash at the museum.
