Do You Need And Deserve A Full Biker Makeover?

And I mean a full bike and gear makeover. Like your bike is still desperately stock 5 years after you wrote a check to your dealer or is aging faster than a rat bike. Like your riding gear, leather jacket, jeans , boots etc were bought new before I even started in this business, meaning a long, long time ago. Here the deal. The 2 Garage Girls, Sara Liberte & Jody Perewitz, offer you  to write a 200 words or less essay ( along with photos) telling them why you (or one of your friends) is in need and really deserve a full biker makeover.

You email all this to bikermakeover@garage-girls.com before May 15, 2009. Male & female applications accepted. Then on the Garage Girls Website, visitors will be able to vote for the most deserving individuals with 3 finalists being selected, then a final Ultimate Biker Makeover winner. The makeover will be done during the Carlisle Bikefest held July 17-19 at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds.  Obviously you must be present to get your bike updated with killer parts and you fitted with cool new clothing. For more information, rules, eligibility and submission procedures, visit Garage Girls or Carlisle Events.

Woo-Hoo the girls do it again! In working with you guys for years we all have the same thing on our minds…we have been putting together a Moto-Angels Motorcycle Makeover for an upcoming rally event also! These are great opportunities to promote Women n Motorcycling, an opportunity to create awareness in a like minded community and shed light on a charity or family situation. Ours is more of a charity but it all serves the same purpose….right on…you guys rock!
Let me know if we can help in anything! 🙂

This idea is inspired from a famous TV show.

Thanks Gina we always enjoy working with you on your fun cool AWBB’s.

We just wanted to do an event where a few people could really “win the lottery” especially when it comes to riding gear, we see too many people out there riding in shorts and flip flops! sigh….., get some good riding boots on those feet and a decent jacket, and GLOVES!!! Were hoping to really make a few people smile big and have a wicked good weekend at Carlisle, which is really an awesome event.

Great let’s get it on the air and see if we can get it more exposure…maybe someone from Chicago can win it! (Can you say open roadradio…haha)
I have a Women in Motorcycling show this Sunday (please listen) but will have to schedule you guys in the next one…I’d like to do a XX CHromes – AWBB show soon too so maybe we can schedule it in with that. I’ll wait to se what happens at our programming meeting this weekend!

Get real, a woman who is full stature, and is aged above the cuteness range…hasn’t a chance at a deal like this. You guys, (the voting public,) will go for the gal whose figure is slim, face is creaseless, and hair color isn’t gray. Not looking to watch another ad for the young and restless…

One of women of the ” XX Chromes – All Woman Bike Builders” is a ‘mature’ lady!
She also is a MSF instructor, mother, wife and author of two books!

I don’t know how these girls are conducting this contest but knowing them I am sure it is unbiased of race, gender OR age…..

This contest is up to the public, your votes will decide. It’s open to ANYONE, any gender, any age and is based on who needs updated riding gear the most and cool parts for their stock bike! this contest is not trying to find the next top model, it’s trying to hook a few well deserving people up with some brand new gear and parts, it’s pretty simple, if your going to be heading over to Carlisle Bike Fest and could use some new gear send in your photo and story and then the public can pick who deserves the makeover the most!

    Right on Sara!

The thing that makes this great is that it’s inspired from a TV show. After all, who can argue the popularity of the reality TV deal right? But seriously, what’s everyone been doing since it’s been winter and the economy is getting us all down? Sitting at home watching the idiot box. I dig anything that pulls us outside of the “Motorcycle Only” mentality that sometimes goes on. For me this has always been life PLUS the motorcycle and I think this is another example of that. Great idea!
