Never thought that in the United Arab Emirates they were guys building old school choppers. And you must admit that he looks very good and… very American. One of the most crowd pleasing custom bikes during the “Custom Chrome Europe Dealer Show”. And it had nothing to do with the model standing by (pictures by Frank Sander

    She’s beautiful!
I wish someone from the United Arab Emirates that owns a chunk of a TV network would fund a research program that feature old iron. Come awn’ bust
So what if 99 % of the people don’t know the significance of a Knuckle or Panhead. I guarantee that the same 99% of the people would be zombie-glued to the screen of their TV, just watching somebody put together and take one apart. Wasssamatter youses?
We’re being denied the opportunity of keeping our kick-start history alive. They have all these women programs on, nobody wants to watch. Fashion tips, Dr. Phil, and all that other garbage. Get real dude. Get some grease under your fingernails. Wipe Harley grad 60 oil through your hair. Rub some on your chest. Take back what they’re stealing away Goddammit.

“Taste” is a matter of opinion (and worth about as much).
On the other hand, you see something inaccurate in what i said, the point it out…?

    RE:
“… That bike is sweeet …”

Everything you do has somebodies influence, well said Burnout and hopefully their lessons learned. We could all study the history of our passion a bit more and see from where we came to better understand where to go from here, maybe even imitate a bit, pledgerism is a form of flattery or acknowledgement of acceptance just do not copy for self profit. That along with developing your/our own inovations and new ideas and utilize the engineering and design tools available today. That is what has made this sport so neat and continues to be ever evolving.

The WW11 Vets started it with just stripping the surplus shit down and copying the earlier racers.

In the 60’s and 70’s we butchered the necks and stuck the frontends so far out there you couldn’t turn them around in a country block. We went to the fab yard and bought high tensile steel plate to cut out blanks for the girders, not realizing 90,000 # tensile strength had no flexibilty and we broke off a few front ends only to learn the hard way that high tensile strength only steel had no flexibilty and failed or the necks failed next to the welds from the lack of heat treatment after we stick welded it up, noting Mig and Tig weren’t available yet. Ah those cool springers with no dampening were fun. You would compress the springs ok when you went into the chuck hole and they did their job there but when you came out on the rebound of the springs contraction and there was no dampening you thought you were a cowboy on a pogo stick with the bouncing. Also always had to make sure you also had some tie wire with ya. All fun.

Along comes Arlen and then Pat Kennedy and others who took it to the next levels and you started having engineering imput and design thinking. When I first saw Cyril’s booth in Sturgis in the 90’s and heard him call himself a designer and he is a hell of a designer you could see the maturing of the craft. We could spend more time seeing the good and less the negative and your own merit will define the level of Master Builder or Master Butcher one reaches. Ball is in each of our courts, a lot of old and new talent out there. Just remember the shit you build has somebody’s life riding on your work.

    NICKER,

That’s not Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) dissipation; his dissipation is the humankind who follow his guidance.

What you see with the bike is kind of your sissy, OL. or mamma who wanna get BANGGED by the milk man every day. SO YOU BETTER SHUT-UP OR I’LL SHOVELE MY FOOT UP YOUR MOUTH.
You have to pay respect for “Muhammad” (peace be upon him).

    DO YOU UNDERSTAND!!!

    Muhammad’s Defender,

    RE:
“…. OR I’LL SHOVELE MY FOOT UP YOUR MOUTH….”

Dude, that doesn’t sound like “The Religion Of Peace” to me……. 🙂
You need to study up on it some more.

Regarding Respect, let me explain something very simple to you:

-A- I don’t “have” to pay respect to anyone or any thing……. GO IT.
(about the only thing i “have” to pay is taxes)

-B- Get a clue. “Respect” is something that is earned. It can’t be demanded.
(Do you think you’ve earned anyone’s respect here on this blog?)

-C- Read what i wrote again. You’ve managed to confused “dissipation” with “dispensation.”
(if your gonna hang in this blog you need to learn more English)

Go peddle your sand monkey rhetoric some place else…….
