David Uhl Pays Homage To A Master Painter

homage-to-a-masterDavid Uhl just released a painting tribute to John Singer Sargent who during his career tirelessly completed roughly 900 oil paintings and over 2,000 watercolors.  He was considered one of the elite portrait artists of his time, commissioned by the social elite in Europe and the U.S.  “Homage to a Master” is based on Sargent’s “Paul Helleu Sketching With His Wife” which hangs in the Brooklyn Museum.

This new piece is one of David’s personal favorites, with the original hanging in his home.   David obviously loves this style, but he realizes that it won’t be for everyone so we are only offering a total of 26 canvas giclee prints, all hand-signed and numbered with Certificates of Authenticity.  This image has also been included as part of Harley-Davidson’s new licensed poster line. Print specifics: Edition size:  20 plus 4 APs and 2 HCs.  Image size:  18″ x 24″. Price:  $1,250 framed, plus shipping. Contact Greg Rhodes at greg@uhlstudios.com or 303-948-1088.

Had a side chair on my ol 51 thunderbird .Used to get mates to sit in the chair and then you get down the road and with a liitle sharp S manouvre you could get it off the ground and then balance it like that. Then you get the chair poised above the foot path. Then I would point it straight at the nearest power or telephone pole and pull out at the last moment ..used to get some pretty interesting reactions. Both facial and audible!!

They are odd things to ride with, especialy at reasonable speeds .. if shit goes wrong it is very hard to correct.
I once went over a bank on the motorway and hit a tree about half way up…just happened to have my mates pretty little girl friend in the chair,When me and the bike sudenly stopped she carried on with the top of the chair and was still hanging on to it as she slide down the grassy hill on her arse…real funny to watch if your face isn’t lodged in the side of a tree…completely rooted the front end and my nose was 4 times it’s normal size for quite a while. Debbie had some grass burns and bruising I never got to see ..heh heh.
I fell ot of the tree and was followed by the bike, which landed on top of me. Was pinned and had hot oil running up my leg..what a day..good fun..at least to look back on.

    Yep cool pic
