Thanks to AMA members (American Motorcyclist Association), Senate Bill 435 introduced this year by state Senator Fran Pavley (D-Santa Monica) to impose motorcycles to undergo periodic exhaust emissions testing has backed away from the idea. The bill would have required all models year 2000-and up with engine displacements of more than 280cc to be tested every 2 years. But as you know, a victory is never definitive…- The city of Boston is putting to the vote an ordinance to curb motorcycle noise in the city. It instructs police officers to fine $300 bikers riding with exhaust on which is not affixed the EPA approved label
