Bonneville Speed Trials. Swiss Attack.

The Bonneville BUB Speed Trials are scheduled August 30th to September 3rd. A crew to watch is Team Swiss Performance with an impressive lineup of riders for the premier motorcycle Land Speed Record event: No less than 6 different motorcycles with 4 riders from Switzerland, accompanied by Leslie Porterfield, the formerly fastest female rider on the planet, and Land Speed record legend Sam Wheeler, one of only probably 4 aces in this years race for the ultimate Land Speed Record.

Swiss riders will include already experienced  “Salt Dogs“ Ruedi Steck and Sven Traber, added by former team chief Hans Versfeld.Surprise addition is legendary swiss tuner Fritz Egli who will go for the supercharged sidecar record. Egli has a long-time history dating back to the late sixties for his frames and rolling chassis kits. Although already in his 70’s, he still creates extraordinary motorcycles, like his Egli B-King. He will ride a turbo-charged Suzuki Hayabusa“, equipped with a sidecar. Of interest, 3 of the swiss bikes will premiere using environment-friendly fuel E 85 Bio-ethanol. Swiss Team Performance.

Props to Leslie Porterfield for continuing in her everlasting pursuit of speed! Proving, IMO, that she didn’t just become the world’s fastest woman to say she was, but because it’s what she loves- SPEED!

My kind of woman indeed, accomplished/successful business owner, loves motorcycles and speed, and a natural beauty!

I <3 Leslie Porterfield! Good luck mon cherie!
