Essential part to go from 2 to 3 wheels, a trike rear axle is a big weight handicap for its road velocity. If you didn’t know, the average weight of a trike rear axle is about 155 pounds. Santiago Choppers decided to conceive a new model whose shell being in aluminum weights only 82 pounds, trimming almost 50% of the fat. The shell being in aluminum you can get fancy by getting it polished or powder coated. This new rear axle kit is sold with 2 discs and 2 complete brake calipers from Wilwood. The company also sells swingarms for all trikes built from the ground up or 3 wheel conversions from factory bikes. Made In The USA. Patent Pending. Santiago Choppers (Dealers welcome).

Good job on the axle diet folks. Couple of questions:
1. What level of stress testing has been done? That’s a lot of mass outa there? Strenght comparable to original designs?
2. Lifetime value- any warranty? Mileage life expectency?
Thanks,

This axle is a very high quality with seal bearings and made one per one. Not made in China.
Is this a straight axle, or a differential?
From personal experience I can attest that Alan’s products are extremely well engineered. Congrats Alan on a great product that I am sure will be a hit in the world marketplace.
