Just finished packing up. Flight at 6 am to Salt Lake City, then a 90 minutes drive to Wendover the closest city at 5 miles from the Salts. No, I am not racing (next year?). Just learning more about the world’s fastest machines (motorcycles, cars, rocket powered vehicles, and anything rolling…) and supporting friends challenging themselves, pushing the limits of speed one step further to acquire a LSR (Land Speed Record).
It’s kind of ironic that in an environment of LSR Racing, Wi-Fi connections are very rare in the hotels of Wendover. The reason? The west side of town is not in Utah but Nevada and most hotels are casinos. And casino hotels don’t like that you stay in your room to play or work on your laptop computer! Action is suposed to be downstairs… Anyway, I will do my best to continue to blog at the usual speed you know. TTYL (Talk To You Later) from the border of Utah & Nevada. Bub Speed Trials.
Wishing you a Full Throttle good adventure!
I trust you’ve packed your SuperCharged SPF 100+ formulas and look forward to hearing all about it.
A safe journey to you Cyril!
Doing the last bit of Dyno tuning on a buell for the salt and our train leaves for Utah a 6am CST. God bless everyone traveling to the Salt! See you there! Going to update my blogs on the road also

We too are making our way to Bonneville and are currently driving out in the middle of BF Egypt NV.My 15 year old son will be having his 1st racing experience on the salt upon a Kiwi bobber. We are not going for any records but merely to enjoy the experience and friendships. Hey Joe, I thought we were banging away late but you have us beat. Crikey she’ll be right mate
Keep a look out for Hiro Koisho from Las Vegas H-D, running over 180mph on a street legal Dyna!!
Peace and good luck to everyone
To call Wendover a CITY, hmmm, well you’ll be rephrasing that. Make sure you check out the little museum at the airport as it has a lot of cool military history there. The Enola Gay took off from there bound for Japan. ConAir airplane is still there too. One of the hangers was our base for the Worlds Fastest Indian movie
Wanted to wish Ross and the girls good luck. Wow Ross your 1st race enjoy the ride and be safe Buddy !!! I will say a prayer for Mom.
