Willie’s Tropical Tattoo Show was my 1st pit stop in Daytona. Thousands of others had the same idea. Seems that it is the 1st place to stop by not only to look at bikes but also to take the pulse of the industry and of Biketoberfest. I announced to many the unfortunate news about Buell Motorcycles and although the microphone was given to me a couple of times, it didn’t go beyond a few words (you know that I prefer to write…) and I spent my time checking out some very nice Triumphs, Nortons & Indians. Master of ceremony Willie had the good idea to order a short shower just after the trophy ceremony, enough to give us some new life after cooking all afternoon in 90F + temperature.

Cyril:
Whats the rummour floating around town about Penske buying the Rossmeyer empire??
GREAT Show again Roadside Marty you did a great job .Thanks Cyril for the write up and keeping people informed ..On things …thanks SCOTT for the great looking plaques..
It was my first stop as well.
Good crowd, Great show and opportunity to see many friends.
The Rossmeyer buy out was a total fabrication. Done to create something to talk about. It was a question and had ZERO fact. There is no talks or deal.
BikerDATA. You don’t know. Denials mean nothing. Discussions may have taken place.

You know nothing, I on the other know that the entire post was only done to generate a story buzz and website talk resulting in traffic. Smart huh…
Jeff at BikerDATA. You are wrong!
ANOTHER GOOD PARTY… AS ALWAYS WILLIE OUT DOES HIMSELF EVERY YEAR,, ie GOOD PEOPLE GOOD FOOD AND BIKES THAT SPEEK FOR THEMSELVES
wow i could walk around an see the bikes this year
what happen to the girls????
an the same old band
well maybe bikeweek will be better
the best part of the show was the BBQ
The show is about the bikes and the people glad you like the BBQ .
I had a great time at the show this year! I don’t know what show that other guy was at but I saw plenty of hot ladies! Guess that guy must be hard up. Great music and AWESOME bikes. I cant wait for the show in march.
I’ve been reading else where about how bad Biketoberfest was, and it makes me think I must have slept through something…..LOL, cause where I went “businesses was good”. Of course I don’t hang around the bigger bars very often rather I choose the smaller venues (the ones who keep the prices the same year around and cater to the locals 365). I reckon I saw the event through “rose colored glasses”, because everywhere I went it was the best. I din’t look at crowds or who’s spending money, just the aura permeating the places that are true Daytona.
From the first weekend to the last day Biketoberfest was awesome to me and for me. My high lights were: Seeing and hearing some new bands at Jack’s & Whiskey River named The Paul Sutherland Band & Jason & The Punknecks………..at each concert the places were packed (like Jack’s was last night when the Razor Backs played) and the money was rollin’ in.
And of course my dear friend Willie at Tropical Tattoo rolled out the red carpet for us all. It was like a family reunion for many of us who wouldn’t dare miss his bi-annual chopper shows. The bikes were cool, the beer was cold and the ladies were hot. Thanks Willie, Marcus and crew for always beening there for us.
And the Charlie Daniels Freedom Ride & Jam for America was the icing on the cake for me. $15 admission per couple, $3 beers and 3 bands………….yeehaw……..what else do we want?
Biketoberfest was goooooooooood!!!!! Planning now for a sucessful Daytona Bike Week. Come with a positive attitude and enjoy the good times we have here.
Really cool show! It’s the best thing in Daytona!
Great show again you guys all did A good job again . Coolest bikes in town and a lot of great people.WHAT HAPPEN to all the girls this year did Roadside Marty scare them or keep them for his self lol .just kidding ROADSIDE WAS a great mc again. There was still a lot of nice girls they just all had cloths on this year….Glad to see so many home built bikes and winners this year thanks for keeping it real.and thanks cyril for blogs need more pics .
Willie always does a great job at Biketoberfest. Once you have been to his shop you really won’t go anywhere else!
Willies show is the only reason I bother to go to Florida ! The foods great, The band is great , The beer is cheap – and cold , and the bikes kick butt.
Hey Black Bart thanks for the kind words, I guess most of the chicks this year were scared to show anything because their kids probably saw an old VHS tape of Girls Gone Wild with dear old Mom settin them puppies free and they were scared it would happen again? Hey Cochise you gonna help with security in March like you used to? Once again I want to thank everyone for coming out and to Cyril for giving us a spot on the blog! C ya in March..Roadside
I’ll probably just sit around and try to look pretty…………………..HaHaHa. See you then, if not sooner.
