Rinehart Racing And Clearline Industries Partner For Performance Exhaust Manufacturing

rinehartperformanceexhaustA manufacturing arrangement has been signed by Rinehart Racing and Clearline Industries LLC by which Clearline will extend its previous involvement of  polishing, finishing & chroming Rinehart Performance Exhaust Systems. The previous manufacturer was Bub Enterprises. Manufacturing of the product line will take place at Clearline’s corporate and manufacturing headquarters in Traer, Iowa as well as in Minneapolis, MN. With the expiration of the previous exclusive manufacturing and distribution with LeMans Corp., the parent company of Drag Specialties, Rinehart now assumes the exclusive management of the manufacturing and distribution processes of its motorcycle exhaust line.

Dealers can now purchase products directly from Rinehart Racing or through Custom Chrome. Clearline offers an 18-month warranty against exhaust manufacturing defects. Rinehart is associated with Championship NASCAR Teams, Sprint Cup and IndyCar championships. That success has carried over in the motorcycle world through involvement in AHDRA with numerous records and championships and providing some of the best V-Twin Performance exhaust systems to the V-Twin industry.

This is great news. It puts it all in perspective and shows they are alive and well. An 18 month warranty…really? That’s unheard of. Shows they have alot of confidence in their product and new manufacturing capabilities. Rinehart has always been and will continue to be one of the premiere exhaust lines in the industry and any questions we may have had regarding their health and future are now behind them. Good Luck Gerald and team…

Speaks volumes doesn’t it. Going to be a lot more folks dropping Drag from what I’m seeing. I remember a lot of folks telling me I was nuts 1-2 years ago when I said there was no real need for Drag anymore, and they were killing the product value of a lot of items due to un-policed “net flippers” selling items for 2%-3% over top tier cost.

Products do not sell themselves, and Rinehart along with many other manufactures will find this out the hard way! Organization, sales, warehousing and distribution is not for wannabee’s. If it was, everyone would be doing it. Rinehart should be grateful for the job Drag Specialties did for him, Drag is the reason Rinehart rose to the top. Also, If you think Rinehart and CCI are going to price police anything, I think your dead wrong. They will take any and all business they can get. Why do you think Rinehart wants to being able to sell direct? Also with CCI’s track record, how long do you think it will take before this limited distribution agreement folds? I’m not sure if Clearline Industries is the answer, but they cant be worse than BUB because BUB’s quality has always been a problem and will continue to be a problem till BUB self distructs.

Pipe’s.. you’re probably right regarding the great job Drag did for RH, but once a product is sold and the public grabs hold of it, it speaks for itself – it’s like a vending machine, you buy the candy (Rinehart) because it’s good and performs extremely well and not by the manfacturer of that said vending machine.(Drag in this case) I’m glad to see RH jump over to CCI as their distributor, why wouldn’t they!

Given the track record of CCI? Have you ordered from CCI lately? probably not given by your response. These guys are coming back from the dead and shaking things up in an industry where most are folding or going broke. If I were Drag I would REALL pay attention as to how well I would be treating my vendors and manufacturers. Legend Air jumped ship and Drag wasn’t happy with that, Rinehart jumped… who’s next? Bassani? Vance And Hines? Jim Nasi, Rowe, NYC Choppers?? The skies the limit and nobody knows.. From what I hear and know from my orders is that CCI has stepped up to the plate and has REALLY fixed, and continue to fix the issues that once plaqued them in the past and that was the fillrate issues. I have MAYBE seen 2 backorders out of them for quite sometime now and I’m loving it as well as my customers.

Let’s face the facts people, CCI is making a huge comback, are you on the same train? IF not, you better jump aboard! Come on ride the train, ride it up! (isn’t that a song?) LOL

Peave out and much love, now let’s ride.
