My Blogging Dark Secret

nespressoI would not be able to stay awake blogging the latest news when you are already sleeping or still not awake if I would not use some legal help from my Nespresso Citiz machine. It just happen that like all Europeens born I have a passion for good coffee and that with the help of the right dark beans prepared correctly you can have many enjoyable breaks and work later, much later…You don’t need to spend over $1000 to get a good machine. Nor do you  need to go to your local Starbucks Threebucks for multiple coffee fix.  For about the price of 100 trips to the coffee shop you can get, like me, the Nespresso Citiz ($350). Intuitive and user friendly, CitiZ&milk prepares an infinite number of coffee recipes at the touch of a button. Automatic and programmable coffee quantity (Espresso and Lungo) Dedicated space for coffee preparation Integrated milk frothing device for Cappuccino and Latte. Small footprint on your counter or desk. Nespresso Citiz.

Nice machine. Sleek like. Looks cool, but will it create perfect brown froth?? 🙂

I have always used a Krups (as shown) until I burn out the heating element (which so far I have been unable to do. I’ve left the heat switch on for a full day and half-days, and it never melted down or caught on fire).

It looks like a clunker, but it’s cheap and does the job. 50 bucks.

    Ahh Ha!
Your AM morning “nitrous” secret is reveled…
I’ll have to up my “boost” to run at caffeinated nitrous speed!

Plus, (starts lying now) ) I installed risers and ape hangers on my Krupss and have the milk “frother” steam valve connected to the right twist-grip, so I can “steam” without my eyes leaving the road.

French Roast seems to be the strongest dark-roast bean on earth, much deeper flavor than Espresso roast, imo.

For those that don’t like that much caffeine, you can buy sugar-free Mocha by the case and get free shipping.
    Low-salt, 35 calories. Great stuff.

Cyril I have been using a Cimbali Junior bought 2nd hand from a restaurant for about five years now. Get beautiful brown froth on my morning espresso, along with wonderful cappucinos. Machine is hooked to water supply and it is on 24/7. Have a Cimbali conehead grinder to make the perfect grind each day. Then I enjoy your blog with my coffee in hand.

I always enjoy the Nespresso when I’m in the EU, but getting the pods here is pain in the arse. I went to the fully automatic Pasquini model which produces unbelievable thick crema. Yeah it was expensive, but there are a few things I will not skimp on good coffee, good beer and a good mechanic!
