Harley-Davidson Picture Of The Week

cyrilhuzepictureoftheweekHis name is Neek. He is a Designer/Photographer and Metro X Harley-Davidson of Las Vegas asked him to shoot over a hundred metro Vegas bike cops for a magazine cover. There was no gunpoint robbery attempt inside the dealership during the shooting (pun intended).

    Good Photo – Bad Subject!
With all the corruption going on in Law Enforcement and the Goverment I am not in favor of glamorizing Motorcycle Officers or any at this time.
I am not infering that all in law enforcement are dirty, But there are alot.
It would be better for society if those in law enforcement would clean up their own before attempting the rest of society. The thing about Not Snitching On Their Own while wanting Society To Snitch On Everyone is a Double Standard.
Law Enforcement needs to change their tactics and and stop trying to hide what bad officers do.We read some of the things in the newspaper and then it goes away as the officer gets a deal.
I need to remind everyone that the citizens of this country are expected to obey laws even though they do not believe in many of them But Those In Law Enforcement Took a Voluntary Oath To Uphold The Law and should be held to a higher standard.

How did a simple photo turn into a cop bashing, I know allot these guys and all that I have had dealings with are ok guys, they are very biker friendly here in LV and treat people with respect. My hat is off to them because they have a hard job in the summertime, just think wearing that long sleve uniform in the summer heat with a flak vest when it’s 118 degrees out and still keeping your cool when a half drunk tourist wants to stop in the middle of the strip to take a photo. And about the corruption , any organization will have the bad seeds it’s life but i have Seen it here and I work in tha pawn industry were you might think you could, they even sponcer events for us biker types so give these guys a fair shake.

I am with you Rouge 100%

One police officer (friend of mine) told me 75 to 85% of cops will make up “facts” to arrest citizens, or lie in court to “win.” It bothers him that his profession is so corrupt. Semi-immunity from prosecution on most offenses. Extra protections from legal trouble that citizens don’t get.

Then if they do make a serious error, they are cleared of wrong doing if it is determined they didn’t violte your Rights knowingly, or intentionally. It is nothing more than encouragement to violate the oath and beak the law.

Recording your own traffic stop in California is legal, so why do so many cops insist you can’t record them? A recording keeps them from being able to lie in court.

Dragon Bob, Citizens experiences with Bad Cops are likely the reason why a simple picture of 100 cops causes reactions like this one and others above. Seems like everybody can tell something that happened to them. More citizens need to accept the position of “Watching the Watchers.”

    Dragon Bob,

Cop Bashing? We can keep this thread without cop bashing as soon as you cash your reality check. So far, you have told us that they wear long sleeve shirts and flak vests. Who recommended that this be part of or a supplement to their uniform?

When you say you haven’t seen much corruption, I need to ask you to define “much”. Is any corruption really allowable?

The cop sponsored “biker friendly” events are staged to photograph, vehicles, plates, and people.

Seeing as how these LV cops are so biker friendly and such good guys and gals, why do they attempt to enforce laws that have already been struck down in the 9th District Supreme Court of the United States?

Citizens that obey the laws do not have issues with the police, if one of you dare says you are different…your are lying! Stop driving while drinking and being a silly ass…Walk the line. Obey the laws and you will not have any problems…wanna break ’em and you will sooner or later.

Graft and Corruption is in all around you and will be! The professional and legal field (as they like to be called) in its entirety is lost to it! Lest we forget to include the crooked-ass realtors, skewed appraisers, 2 martini bankers, bonused brokers, open hands-out & selective media (magazine) “editors-in-chief” in our industry, and most of all the two-bit slap-stick attorneys that have made it their career to screw you and virtually all others at the drop of a hat with their extended professional “legal” opinions of false hope….cause it ain’t the working man that did it.

    My $.02 cents.

    Boss Hawg,

Any law that has not been tried up to and through the Supreme Court is not proven as legal.

  11. 11 Boss Hawg Jan 3rd, 2010 at 2:42 pm

    Mike,

I think you may have strayed off base. I have not challenged any law or the Supreme Court and make no reference to….Be realistic.

If you are an attorney, as I will assume you may be, then this is just the way it is sports fans.

I am not here to banter with you.

    All the best.

    Boss,

There a rights that are God given and there are rights that citizens have either given or acquiesced to government.

The difficulty with or opposition to LEOs often arises when a LEO or LEA chooses to interpret the enforcement or punishment on the street.

Overstepping has long caused friction and resistance to law enforcement. Selective enforcement against a minority such as motorcyclists meets with resistance.

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Mike.,

    I agree wholeheartedly.

Down here in the south we do have our “selective” ways of retribution.

No further responses from me on the subject matter, Brother!

Cop Bashing, I don’t think its cop bashing when you are simply relaying facts. Bob if you research this you will see that you are paying law enforcement to protect the interests State not you. These goons drum up probabble cause, citing training and experience over caselaw!! ehen asked about their problematic desicion making they almost always put “Officer Safety” over your constitutional rights. This Lack of upholding the Oath that was swornwillingly by them is a crime of its own.
And the mere sniveling about the temperature is laughable, look at our kids in Iraq, thats heat. low pay and no Harley to ride

  15. 15 Jeff Nicklus Jan 4th, 2010 at 11:18 am

I have to agree with Boss …. don’t give these guys any reason to fuck with you and you will be ok! Drinking 15 beers and jumping on your scooter while wearing a t-shirt that shows you giving the “Finger” on the back of the shirt most likely will result in a problem. Further, not all cops are on the take worthless bastards any more than all bikers are always on the right side of the law. Just an observation and my 2 cents worth.

    Over & Out,

    Jeff

    Nice picture, bad subject?

As I read some comments, I would think, as being a European (Belgium), that all American cops are dirty…!?

I find it hard to believe. As Jeff sais, don’t give a reason to p*ss them off, and you will stay out off trouble. Corruption is all around and in every profession you will find rotten apples. But please don’t generalise the problem…

I am 53 years old and a police officer myself for 35 years yet. I believe in being honest and fair with the people. I’ve been for 20 year in the Special Mobile division of the ‘Rijkswacht-Gendarmerie’, followed by 8 years in the drug enforcement and now with the fusion of the Rijkswacht-Gendarmerie with the police,it’s 7 years I’m doing 12-hour stand-by-for-emergency-duties.
All those years, I tried hard to to what the people expect me to do for them. And, I proudly say that I
I can look into everyones eyes without shame.

But I’m also saing, all those who make our job look dirty, have to be removed of their function! !

    Peace Gustian

(35 years police officer and 35 years biker in heart and soul)

I’m not cop-bashing (heck – 1/2 my family is cops)…and I don’t do much to get into trouble…so take this in fun – for the 1 hour it took to take this photo there were NO m/c cops on the street – fascinating – and NO apparent chaos broke out. See? There still is some goodness out there 🙂 ..and Mr.Hawg – I kinda LIKE being a “silly-ass” … (had to put something light-hearted in here..some can be too serious)

boss hawg, have you heard yourself, walk the line? some of us dont want to do as others tell them to, im a free man and i wont have any person, police or not dictate to me what is right and wrong, what i cant and can do!!! who dicides what right, wrong, legal and illegal. life is for living, we only have one life, after its over thats the end, maggots and a hole in the ground. so i arnt for one second going to let some dictator tell me not to do something just becauase it doesnt suit how he/she wants to live!!! one mans right is another mans wrong. aslong as you have good judgement, common sence and manners you should be aloud to live free, no chains no pathetic laws, just living the one life you have with fun, exitement, romance, indulgance, ecstacy, freedom, etc. you cage yourself with laws and rules, i’ll live free, my way, i wont bother anyone, i wont harm anyone, ill always be polite to people…but because i choose to, not because i am ordered to.. A.C.A.B
