Harley is offering retirement incentives as a way to help cut the workforce at its York assembly operations, which are being restructured to save costs – Ray Price Harley-Davidson®/Buell® High Performance Center, one of the most advanced shops in the U.S., has built the world’s fastest naturally aspirated drag racing motorcycle.

The 1,000 HP bike, ridden by Joey Sternotti at the South Georgia Motorsports Park, Valdosta, GA, achieved a speed of 234.37 MPH in 6.144 elapsed time (ET) over a quarter mile track. (“Naturally aspirated” signifies an engine that does not utilize forced air technology to increase performance.) – A proposed Harley-Davidson HOG Convention being planned for North Myrtle Beach is one step closer to becoming a reality after event promoters filed paperwork with the City of North Myrtle Beach last week seeking approval for a special events permit. The official Harley-Davidson Owners Group could bring as many as 10,000 tourists to the Main Street area of the city for the five-day event. The event promoters plan to hold the convention on the third weekend of May each year. This year’s dates are May 11, and ending on Saturday, May 15. Vendors will all be Harley-Davidson Corporation approved.
