Arlen Ness 40th Year Anniversary Custom Parts Catalog

arlenness2010catalogWhen you spend 40 years in the motorcycle business you become the collective memory of our industry. Wish Arlen would put on my desk, in chronological order, all catalogs he has produced during 4 decades (I am certain that he kept preciously a few samples of each). I would not miss reading any page, probably amazed by the way custom motorcycles and parts have evolved since he entered the business in the 70’s, first as an enthusiast.

At least we all can get his 40th year anniversary catalog where the Ness family shows again that in despite of economic morosity there are opportunities in creating new innovative and quality parts that bikers will want to use on their bikes. For 2010, there are a lot of new bolt-on products divided in 2 lines. Deep Cut and Retro. Each of them feature custom parts designed together to allow you to customize your bike one piece at a time or all at once. In addition, Ness introduces a revamped wheel offering with design cues from the past, including four new styles: Deep Cut, Retro, G3 and Engraved. And for those looking for performance an expanded Big Sucker™ line, the introduction of the Big Shot II™, new header systems and slip-on mufflers. You can order the catalog online by jumping to Arlen Ness

I have always looked up to Mr. Ness, and have had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of times.
He is for sure a one of a kind in the industry, and a perfect example of what hard work and dedication to something you love can do.

    Congratulations Mr. Ness

The undisputed king of the custom chopper world. All of his builds are timeless, masterful designs. He did things decades ago that some builders consider “new” ideas today. Always at the cutting edge of aftermarket accessories and a true inspiration in this industry.
40 years of custom-Ness! I too would love to peruse all those catalogs.

That bike on the cover of the new catalogue is brilliant – but then its Arlen Ness so it has to be.

I started this business in 1990, thanks to Arlen, discovering his immense talent and all his ideas. I am always very happy and proud to share moments with Arlen, Cory & Zach and more humbly to be part of the bike builder’s family.

Arlen is an icon of the motorcycle industry. I remember about 15 years ago riding to Sturgis. Foul looking clouds ahead so I pulled over and was going to put on my rain gear. Up comes a truck hauling a large trailer with Ness motorcycles in it. He pulls over and gets out and it is Arlen. Wanting to know if I’ve broken down. That is a class act my friend……

Outstanding, 40 years! Ammazing acheivement to set your own destiny and stay on course for the past 40 years. Congradulations to the Ness family, and still comming out with cool products like the Deep Cut and Engraved.

Never heard or read even a hint of a negative comment about any of the Ness’s. To spend 40 years in the biker community and not piss off ANYONE is a hell of an accomplishment (hint, hint, Sr. and Jr.).
Give the Ness’ a tv show!
