Who knows more about burnouts than Baker a.k.a. the Drivetrain Authority? After two successful years of the BAKER Burnout Drags Competition in Sturgis, BAKER is making this year competition fresh and new (bring replacement fresh new tires, too!)
First, the event is moved across town to The Broken Spoke County Line with no entry fee and no cover charge. So, no excuse for missing this kind of party organized by Bert Baker and Broken Spoke Chief Entertainment Officer Jay Allen. Due to its success, this year’s burnout chaos will spread on several days.
The Smoke-Down Showdown will begin begins on Monday August 9th at Dusk with with 12 of your favorite bike builders going head-to-head in a drag style burnout competition that will leave only one man standing in the end! The pandemonium will continue on Friday August 13th, when 8 lucky BAKER fans will go head-to-head for a chance to win a prize package and compete against a special guest (TBA). Contestants for Friday’s competition will be chosen from the crowd at the Monday Event. I participated last year and what a great event it was. Being friends with Jay Allen and the Broken Spoke, I know the event there will be off the hook! Jay knows how to throw a party and I can smell the smoke brewing already. I’ll be there early!
