Sturgis Bike Week. Schwinn Buddy Build Off At The Buffalo Chip.

Schwinn has donated 60 new bicycles and helmets to the Kids & Chrome Foundation to benefit the Black Hills Children Home Society. Currently, all of the bicycles are unassembled in boxes at the Buffalo Chip warehouse. To bring a smile ti each child in residence at the foster home for battered and abused children, these bikes need to be assembled during the rally.

The Buffalo Chip is currently looking for two-person “Biker Buddy” teams with big hearts and experience in bicycle assembly that are willing to donate an hour of their time during the rally to pitch-in and assemble a bicycle or two for these children in need. Each “Biker Buddy” will receive a special, free commemorative “Biker Buddy” t-shirt from Schwinn and an invitation to a special VIP reception at the Chip’s Event Center where the new bicycles will be on display. In addition, a variety of TV, radio and print media will be covering the local charity event including the Tonight Show with Jay Leno which will be filming throughout the campground. Please, sign up to volunteer by going to Buffalo Chip Schwinn Biker Buddy. Thank you in advance

I was there. We put those bikes together in 91 degree heat under the South Dakota mid-day sun. I could not be more proud of those who assembled those kids bikes. They were done professionally and safely with care. To those I had the privilege of working with, I salute you and I thank you for all you did for those kids.

i could not be more proud
