Bonneville Motorcycle BUB Speed Trials. Part 3.

Rarely seen in Bonneville during the Speed Trials, yesterday Monday afternoon rain has delayed again many participants’ runs. The BUB team of volunteers did an unbelievable job at fixing and drying some wet spots on the different tracks. And as soon as the sun went back, participants took their turns on the starting line at a frantic pace never seen before.

Leslie Porterfield from Honda Dallas, a multiple world land speed title holder, was the first to test the track and declared it fit for racing. Both 5- mile tracks were re-opened and used at maximum capacity. The Klock Werks team, in force on the Salts with no less than 6 bikes  had immediately 4 of its racers (Erika, Karlee, Michelle, and Chris) produce speed records in their respective classes, but of course it’s only temporary since not all competitors still did their runs. This Tuesday morning weather was abnormally cool and the tracks were open at 7 AM… Enjoy the pics (photography H. Roesler)
