Willie’s Chopper Time Bike Show at Tropical Tattoos in Ormond Beach will be the 1st major gathering of custom bike builders, owners and lovers during Biketoberfest 2010.
A tradition and a must stop by during both March Bike Week & Biketoberfest, Willie’s Bike Show is an exhibition of creative motorcycle building and restoring where imagination and skills are more important than money.
More than a bike show, the event is a social gathering of all those present in Daytona who are bonded by the same Kustom Kulture.
So, yes it’s about custom motorcycles but also about those who perpetuate the culture with a true biker attitude. This “happening” includes the most important people of the industry as participants or observers and of course I will make a pit stop to snap a few shots of one the most colorful events of the week.
There will be a bikini contest with cash prizes, live entertainment by the Fubars, BBQ, beer is only $2.00 and needles are ready to ink your new tattoo. From 10 am to 4 pm. Tropical Tattoo is located at 825 South Yonge Street in Ormond Beach (U.S. 1 across from Publix). Show info and Tattoo seat reservation at 386-235-0338.
Added September 13, 2010, 8.35 am: Willie Jones, owner of Tropical tattoo, calls it quit! He just informed me that for reason of health and stress the Biketoberfest show is the second to last, the 2011 Daytona Bike Week event being the last one he will organize. No doubt that it will be a very special one
